Your predictions and hopes for NY toy Fair 2016?

Toy Fair is less than two weeks away!

    My predictions.

Hasbro: I think there is finally a pretty good chance on Micronauts because of the upcoming comic. Maybe a Rom figure too. No MASK, JEM or GI JOE. For SW they will finally show the Force Awakens Luke and Leia figures. Mostly they will show Captain America movie stuff and Transformers.

Mattel: No MOTU at retail. They will push Max Steele and bring back Street Sharks. Possibly Food Fighters as well and other line they own the rights to that isn't MOTU.

Bridge Direct: They might do a Purple Pieman figure because the character is finally being introduced into the new Strawberry Shortcake continuity.

My hopes (or stuff I'd love to see but has little to no chance of actually happening.)

Dungeons and Dragons figures from the LJN toy line. Hasbro owns the rights to the characters but has shown no interest in marketing them other than the Warduke mini in 2006.

A Sunbow GI JOE cartoon line. I want the cartoon Zartan with long hair dammit! And a Swamp Skier that is big enough for the figure to actually use. A classic toon Duke and Scarlett that can actually sit in the vehicles this time would also be nice.

Kenner MASK with finally a Gloria Baker and her Shark vehicle set.

    Sectaurs and Silverhawks.

I'd love to see the original Action Jackson make a return with old school same head sculpt.
Pulsar, Hypnos or Big Jim's PACK would be awesome but I'm just day dreaming guys.

I want to see Stretch Armstrong come to America.

And I still believe in the retro style 3.75" format, even though unfortunately it seems to be one of the most divisive among collectors and fans. (I hate that part of it). Funko has been incredibly quiet lately as they seem to be re-organizing their focus for the ReAction brand. I'm hoping they'll dazzle us by righting their shaky ship. I predict they will have more modern style, super-articulated figures like their Game of Thrones to show. I hope to see some more classic horror figures. If they do Creepshow I can die a happy man.

Oh, an I hope Super7 will show their Masters of the Universe 3.75" figures in painted color. It's felt like a long wait for those.

I'm just hoping Funko will announce ReAction lines of the figs I mentioned in the Golden Girls thread, lol! Some V figs and ships would be cool too,as I love V as well. E.T. would be cool too. Lots of other things I could hope for too,but it ain't gonna happen so why even bother. lol

I do too. They started badly with lots of really lazy sculpts and very poor license choices but I think they can still turn things around. I read they did say they were going to refocus the line as retro licenses only because the modern ones all sold poorly or under performed. That's a good start.

I'd like to see GI Joe make a return from Hasbro, 1st in the Hero Mashers line based on the Old GI Joe cartoons. I'm sure any new 3.75 inch will be tied to the next movie whenever that comes along.

I'm not sure if the Hero Mashers style is a good fit for GI JOE. Plus that style guarantees no female figures. So, no Scarlett, Baroness, Lady Jaye or Cover Girl.

I would hope that maybe they will make some female hero mashers in the Star Wars line, I really like the Star Wars ones, not sure how popular the line is overall, but they do remind me a bit of the GI JOE Sigma 6 line from about 7 years ago and I thought that line was very well done.

If Stretch came to the US, I hope he brings his monster buddy.

I am looking forward to seeing if BBP shows any 8" items, at least in the Twilight Zone series. Also eager to see any progress on the Heroes in Action lines.
The HiA ones would do best to come out during the election hype cycle, I would think.

I am also very interested in seeing what NECA will bring out in the 8" format this year.

Other than that, I hope for a resurrection of the Monster Fighter line from Lego.

^^ Randy (NECA) mentioned several reveals for the first 6 months of 2016, with another set to follow on the back half. We know Ash vs. Evil Dead is coming, but I'm hoping for some new interesting licenses as well. Hell with all the Aliens/Predator product they move, while surely unlikely, wouldn't it be cool to have a ReMego Big Chap.

I wish Mattel would revive the DCUC line in some fashion. They kind of have with Multiverse, but I'd like to see more DC figures at retail. It's currently pathetic in my area. Not even any Batman V. Superman yet.

Give me more marvel Universe and retro Sofubi and I'm happy. Maybe Killgrave the Purple man or Hellcat in 1:18 scale since Jessica Jones was so popular. Fingers crossed on Sofubi making Aquaman or Daredevil.

Neca has been doing well in many different scales, so my money goes to them.
I'd like to see lots more in their 8" range, not just more versions of Freddy and Jason, and less of stuff like Home Alone.
My dream lines for Neca 8": Aliens vs Colonial Marines, and Hellraisers.
                              .
                              .
                              .
