    These are 6 inch, not 12 inch, so the likeness isn't going to be as perfect as something from Hot Toys.

          Apparently these are scanned likenesses...don't know how that works exactly when trying to capture how someone looked decades ago, but that's what they're doing.

            Yeah I don't see how scanning an 84 year old William Shatner is going to produce a good 35 year old Captain Kirk. I assume they scan photos from various angles and can go 3D from there. I think most of those sites where you can build your own action figure likeness only require a full face and a profile, so maybe with the thousands of images you could get of an actor in a TV show, they can produce a good likeness.

              To me it looks like the sculptor - or whomever was in charge of the process tried to make him look less Asian.
