I finished up my custom version of this guy the day before I got notification that the factory produced Mal from Quantum Mechanix was available (after being delayed for over a year). Of course, I had to have both. Here are a few pictures of the factory produced guy (the first two pics show him with my custom).









They also included a second head that was apparently the original head that came with the figure, but for whatever reason didn't past muster.

On mine, the "extra" head that came loose in the box was the final head, and the head that came on the figure was the inferior head. The molding and painting of the final head is much better. The original head was a little bloated and the paint was kind of thick and toy-like.

Yep, the extra head is the best head. The one already on the figure is the inferior, rejected head.
