Not sure if it was mentioned, but Freeze will be available in a polybag. Probably a TRU exclusive.

I was wondering about Batgirl and the cycle. Since it's just a repaint, I'm worried it will be a SDCC chaser, too.

I guess it all depends on release date.

I'm very excited for this set, I have read online folks predicting conflicting guesstimates on the cost (mainly on Facebook Lego fan sites.) I sort of expect it'll go for $300-ish, but if it's in the $150-$199 spot I think I can buy one sooner.

Official pics of the Lego Batcave set. This is going to be the most epic Lego set ever.

Help Batman and Robin to drive the villain intruders from the Batcave, featuring a Bat Lab with Batcomputer, plus the Batmobile with stud shooters, Batcopter
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

It is really expensive. But I actually thought it would be even more and closer to $350 like the Ghostbusters set.

Based on the price of other Lego sets, and with the number of vehicles included, it doesn't seem like a bad price, really.

That's what I was going to say. It's basically EVERYTHING that you'd need to have a complete Batman 66 collection. And when you look at most Lego sets of any decent size being in the $30-$50 range and the bigger sets being around $100, this seems like a pretty good deal. If this stuff was released individually, you'd spend around the same amount if not more to collect all that.

I'm not 100% sure I'm in... But it's definitely very tempting.

For anyone like me, who is on the fence and looking for a reason to NOT purchase, this pic does the trick for me.

They need eyeballs. They did great on the costumes, but Batman looks a bit sinister for Adam West. The eye holes in the cowl shouldn't be slanted like that, they should be shaped like rainbow arcs. And the eyebrows are too slanted. That's a nitpick, of course... it's a magnificent toy. But the price tag really makes one pause.

I agree. It's pretty reasonable considering all the cool stuff you get.

That price isn't deadly. IMO it looks like they considered it's own line, then...maybe looked at at Mattel's 66 sales...so it became a one-shot grab.

If you pieced it out, you would be in the same range. It's actually cheaper than the Monster Fighters line. The exclusive Haunted House was 400...which is what I was expecting with 66 honestly.

If you want to shiver, consider what a Superfriends Set would cost. One would come with the Hall o' Justice, the other with The LOD and their Evil Scrubbing Bubble. That's about 500.

Price is right in line with their other sets, about $.10 per brick

                            I will own this

I just hope this isn't the only '66 Batmobile LEGO produces I'd love to see a UCS type set of just the Batmoblie.

Hold on, the Haunted House was like $150-$200. I have one. I understand the secondary market for it has soared. If it was $400 I've no doubt I'd have that much scratch to buy one and I'd have bought a Death Star over the Haunted House if it came to it.

I'm hoping this set sells well and maybe we can get a expandable Wayne Manor to work with parts from the existing set. I personally prefer Lego buildings where they're enclosed and can be opened up as opposed to the stupid single wall-like buildings that are often made by every theme. I know that's a cost based decision considering how (unfortunately) the Arkham Asylum and DC Heroes Batcave from a while ago weren't enclosed buildings.
