If those really are $30 a piece everywhere, they are going to rot on the shelves, since there are tons of affordable (and similar) Marvel and Star Wars Figures in that scale for $10 to $12.
I have been looking for those (12" version) in stores all over and they are hard to find. I think for collectors or big fans, that price isn't a deal breaker. A local Toys R Us sold out in record time. When I go there, only one was left. The WW figures are pretty rare and almost impossible to find now for less than $50 or $60.
Speaking of WW, the smaller 6" figures from the new movie line are out and look pretty great. Typical though, that WW is the rare figure. Toys R Us had a bunch of the guys, including Aquaman, for $10. No WW figures to be found anywhere but on line and at about $20 to $25 a pop.
The next size up, 7" or whatever they are calling it, is going for $45 or so on line. The guys are available at Toys R Us for $20. I'm snagging as many WW, in as many sizes, as I can reasonably afford. Not necessarily for investment but more to celebrate the first time the character has seen the big screen.
got a supes and bats via the sideshow boards ,overall nice figures lots of potential for improvement if you feel so inclined lol ,thought id give bats a bit of dry brushing and a fabric cape, give it more work over the weekend if i get a chance
At Target where I work I got the BVS 12" figures 2-pack which is actually nice only $20, looks like Cavill! And also 2 DC Multiverse BVS 6" Wonder Woman figures!
I have seen all of the 6" Standard BVS figures and they are nice, too for $10 each!
That's is a good idea if you snag up all the Wonderwomans you can find than nobody else can get one. Collector's like this are worse than scalpers
I agree. And I'm not that kind of collector at all. I honestly would probably try for 2 of each size. One to open and one to leave sealed. I have a feeling that is where they all went from the local stores. Somebody is out there grabbing them all so they can re-sell them at a huge profit. Kinda takes the fun out of it for me.
