Is January 1, 2016 street date for Batman vs Superman movie toys?

I heard this at SDCC. ALL companies? Mattel, Jakks, etc?

I've always been fascinated by toylines launching IMMEDIATELY after Christmas. It never seemed to make much sense to me. If they are that close to being ready for Christmas, you think they could squeak them out a few weeks early or something.

I remember back in the late 90s, both the Superman Animated and New Batman Adventures figures hit right as Wal-Mart was clearancing after Christmas stuff. So odd.

I think in this instance, a little movie called "Star Wars", likely made them think twice about putting merchandise out too early. By January, most kids/fans will have gotten this out of their system or will have at least grabbed the bulk of their knee jerk purchases to celebrate that movie. BVS should have clear sailing for months thereafter until it's release.

^Good point. The DC offerings at retail are PITIFUL right now, though.

More like non-existent. My Walmart literally had no DC anything.

I think our Wal-mart still has the Mattel-created Batman line, but that's it.
