Man, I love that the "Bootlegger's" are giving Hot Toys some trouble! This Magneto is AWESOME! The likeness is "spot on!" And the price at $180 is what HT use to be like. I've got to own this figure!

As an unlicensed piece, I'd expect the price to be less than what HT charges. Personally, though, I have no interest in supporting bootleggers. -

I agree Hot Toys needs competition because they are absolutely mugging people with their prices. I don't agree with bootlegging in principle, but as Bat stated, it's symptomatic to the strangle hold Hot Toys has on high-end customers who have limited options. They can defeat most of these offers by doing one thing... Be more price competitive.Comment

That is why HT started out with making sculpts of figures that didn't look exactly right. The face sculpts came close, but not close enough to have to pay an actor for his likeness. The first HT, Kyle Reese and Aliens Drake are good examples of this..
