Yeah, that's what I was thinking. He just doesn't capture that realism like the regular Bigfoot. I wonder if the heads and hands are swappable? I might get a Yeti if I could put a repainted Skookum head and hands on him.
I also can't figure out why the Yeti has a hairless chest and abs when it lives in the coldest environment.
I got my Sasquatch a couple weeks ago. The sculpt and paintwork is absolutely amazing. The one major downside though is the articulation. It is very restricted by the sculpt, so the figure is barely poseable.
The legs have zero backwards movement and less than a quarter inch forward movement. There is a waist swivel that is completely useless because of the sculpted fur that covers it. It moves less than 1/10th of an inch. Same story with the ankles and biceps. I wasn't even able to get him into a decent Patterson/Gimlin walking pose, and that was with the included base. There are three foot pegs but because of the sculpted grass and such around them, his feet won't stay on the pegs. He keeps wanting to topple over.
So basically, he makes for a great statue, but a lousy action figure.
Judging by the photos, I knew the articulation would be extremely limited.
I didn't buy HorrorHound, but I got the other three and I'm happy with them.
Overall I'm happy with mine too...it does look really nice on the shelf. I didn't get the other three as I really only wanted the more realistic looking Sasquatch. I'll get the Skookum variant too if it comes out.
