    Diamond Select B-9 Robot

I actually had the postal service deliver this TODAY! Talk about surprised. I guess sometimes the trucks DO run on Sundays. Anyway I have to throw out a huge thank you and congratulations to Zach and all those involved in the creation of this latest B-9 Robot at Diamond Select. It's truly awesome. Until the release of this model, I considered the Trendmasters to be the standard by which all B-9 collectable toy robots were measured. Well, in my opinion, it's been topped. This is beautiful. The light show alone is just gorgeous. I included a Youtube video below to demonstrate that feature because words just don't get it done here. He speaks 14 or 15 different phrases; has fully poseable arms that retract and expand; The claws can be manually opened or closed, and the upper torso can be manually turned left and right. The bubble can be pulled up or pushed down to suggest expression, and the treads have wheels underneath, but no self propelled feature like the Trendmasters version. The B-9 runs off three AAA batteries included and located under the tread section of the robot. This collectable stands an impressive ten inches tall. Photos and film do not fully capture that.

The one hidden feature that is not mentioned anywhere in the instructions is the robot's ability to speak all of his phrases without you hitting the power-pack feature each time. This is accomplished by pressing down on the power-pack button and holding it down until he starts speaking. Once he starts, you can release and he'll speak all his lines. You have to hold it for about 6 to 8 seconds, but when he starts, you can sit back and just enjoy the show (this video demonstrates that). This is a crazy-fun toy and if you're a fan of Lost in Space, I strongly recommend grabbing one. It definitely touched the little kid in me today. I just wanted to mention this product and once again thank Zach and company for putting together a piece that definitely improves upon the Trendmasters model and takes this to the absolute top of my LIS collection. Congratulations on a job well done! I hope it's a huge success for Diamond Select. Would love to see more love thrown to the license if it is.

    That's very cool.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

        I agree--the DST B9 is incredible. Let's hope DST makes a Jupiter 2 next!
