    It's NPS, "New Phone Syndrome".
    You don't really need a new one, but you want to get a little hysterical, be part of the group, and stand in line for 36 hours. For something that's not all that special, and will be much cheaper a couple of months later.
    I don't have NPS. I'll patiently wait a year for a DVD set to drop in price, even it's my favorite show.

      I dunno. I don't see how a fistfight between two grown men over a toy car (of all things) can't be entertaining. Just the mere thought of it makes me laugh.

        I'd say it's more about the first new Star Wars movie in years than the figure itself... and THAT said, it's a lot more understandable, to me personally, than deriving joy from watching a fistfight of any kind---let alone over a toy.

            I don't see how not being excited by a first release of a simple figure makes me any less of a diehard SW fan. I'm not "into the hype one way or the other", I'll just go see the movie, probably a week or two after the first release day, when it calms down.
