Seeking name of Shogun Warriors-like modern toy

At the flea market I saw a couple modern era toys that I thought were reminiscent of the Shogun Warriors but a bit smaller (about 10-14 inches) and more cartoonish in appearance.

I looked at the name on the bottom of the foot but can't recall it now though I think it starts with "G".

Any help?

They made at least a million Gundams, so it's highly likely.

I don't think it was Gundam the name was a little longer than that and the design was more basic, maybe for younger kids.

In the gundam image search this image came up, its closer in style to the one I'm seeking though perhaps not super deformed.
