    12" Cheap super-heroes...Mattel wins by a landslide!

I was absolutely shocked to say the least.

Just picked up Mattel's new 12" Flash figure for $10, and these make Hasbro's Titan Series look pretty sad by comparison.

The Flash has a whopping 15 points of articulation (the box says 9, but it's wrong) and details painted on the front continue on the back of the figure.

The head turns, the shoulders each swing out from the sides and up & down as do the elbows, there are swivel wrists and the legs swing out as well as forward and backward.

Hasbro needs to step it up.

I give Mattel props for the work they've put in on these, but at the same time, Hasbro is killing them with these. Hasbro has pumped out tons, invented the style and have it for every property.

I agree Hasbro has the character selection, but Mattel has them beat in overall quality. If they made jumbo Masters of the Universe like this I'd flip my lid...

Mattel just needs to make MORE 12" DC. I will take FEMALES alone- Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Batgirl!

Mattel is wasting the DC license. It's like Hasbro in the late 90s/ early 00s all over again. There is good product trickling out, but the Marvel stuff is just drowning it out.

            ^ This.

I agree with Dwayne, the new larger series DC Heroes are terrific and of course I want an Aquaman. If Matty added knee articulation, they'd be perfect.

But at Target for example, Marvel occupies nearly one side of an aisle. DC, in a separate aisle, occupies about 1/8, squeezed in between Power Rangers, Spy Tech, etc.

DC Total Heroes, arguably Mattel's best DC line, has no presence at the biggest discount chains, only TRU and K-Mart. Just sad.
