Is Mattel's 6" Yvonne Craig Batgirl figure still coming?

What a fail that this line was left to die. Overall, it's a very neat line with great accessories and an awesome Batmobile.
If these figures, etc. would have been available in the 70's to mid 80's, I think they would have been a huge hit. I'm surprised they weren't a big hit, at this point (or weren't allowed to be a hit).
- IanRampart, this is Squad 51. How do you read?Comment

That box set looks like a final production piece to me...it clearly has a vac molded tray for the figure and accessories. Then there's the whole issue of Yvonne Craig's likeness.
SURELY, Mattel couldn't possibly be stupid enough to PAY MONEY for Yvonne Craig's likeness, sculpt a figure, and then NOT release it? If so, then somebody needs to be fired.Comment

Another thing that strikes me odd (aside from how far along Batgirl & the boxset are) is that the Batcave box set toyshow appearance is newer than previous toyshow Batgirl figure appearances.
So, we have two key new pieces separated by about a year, along with repackaging plans of the Robin/Batmobile pieces... it just seems like a LOT of prep for nothing to come of it.
Stranger things have happened than this line suddenly ceasing to exist after this stuff, but it just seems like a unique scenario that communicates otherwise."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment

Maybe they can do a Matty Collector sub and put up a Bat thermometer and tease new figures and nobody buys the sub and they don't make any more figures.Comment

Hmmmm... that Batgirl is more narrow overall than Craig, that's for sure. As someone mentioned, I think that's the overall style of these figures. Personally? I think the proportions are pretty good for an action figure of this grade. Those "Batgirl hips" be pretty wide compared to her waist. I can see that unique TV Batgirl "belt on hip" thing goin' on pretty good."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. Hips are fine, but those legs are way to thin and long. And that's been what I've disliked about this series as a whole.
You know, I've heard a lot of complaining about other figure line likenesses, which are smaller scale than this. For a 6 inch scale, this should be a knockout, and it isn't. That face could easily pass for Scarlet Johansson instead of Yvonne Craig.
I'll buy it because I love Batgirl to the moon and back. But it's a reminder of what could've been had someone other than Mattel gotten the opportunity.Comment

I just read on AFI that the three pack with Batgirl will be out this fall Aug. / Sept. as a Toys R Us exclusive.Comment
