Better since Hasbro's doesn't make Ollie look like he's wearing Speedy's Peter
Pan hat he got at Disney land.
ZING!
Actually I like that hat---but I can see why you'd be put off if you despised
the hairsculpt underneat AND the hat---it starts to add up.
Black Canary?
I had no idea--- Is she in her classic 70s suit like GA?
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix
The Golden Age Black Canary wore a mask in her first few appearances in Johnny Thunder's strip in Flash Comics. So you can have JLA Dinah or her JSA mom.
By the way, I got GA in Friday and while his hat is a bit small, if you fiddle with it some and get it on there right it looks MUCH better. Great figure over all. Canary comes with an alternate "Canary Cry" head by the way:
I must be a "sucker" to some (BK, T-bolt) as I like everything from this line----
and some of them just seem like "homeruns"
I thought that BLACK CANARY looked real cool.
Like---what's wrong with it?
(Thanks for posting the pix Chris)

I think Dinah looks nice myself. The only figure in this line (besides the movie Supes and Bats) I have a quibble with is Two-Face. His head is indeed to small. I think the thick suit makes it look even smaller, but it's too small to begin with.
The movie Superman and Batman don't look enough like the actors for me to bother.

Let me Explain my comment.
I do think That Black Canary looks good,.. However to Know that WonderWoman has still not been made,.. it's alittle disapointing.
I also think that all the Movie related 13inchers just Blow imo. The 1st Batman, Superman & Now the new Batman & Movie Joker are just lame,.. when you think about the characters that have not been made yet. Like Hawkman & Deathstroke to name a few.
I am a big fan of the 13inch DCD Figures. & DO think that most of the line is a HomeRun,.. & think the price is resonable for what you get. I am confused a bit on how they are kinda all over the Place with the figures. Like,.. what timeline are they trying to achieve ? You got a Dick Robin now,.. when before they Made a NightWing in his current digs. When they went with a Current CatWoman,.. then released a Barb BatGirl .. ?
I just kinda Wish they would follow a certain time period with the figures.
... The Original Knight ..., Often Imitated, However Never Duplicated. The 1st Knight in Customs.
I think they are really being fairly smart in their release schedule. By jumping around to different eras and skipping some of the more popular characters, it insures that the line can last. Remember Super Powers? All of the main characters came out in the first wave. That helped kill the line over the long run, I think.
George Brewer, head of DCD, has said they are waiting to do Wonder Woman after they have several female figures under their belt so they can get her just right.
BK---thanks for the extended explanation....I can relate because
I'm following along and can see what you're talking about regarding "era jumps"
Personally---if I WERE to start collecting (inevitable, I think!)---I'd only attempt to
get more of a "classic 70s" look to my collection---INCIDENTALLY THAT explains
why I haven't been critical of the likenesses on the movie figures
A sad thing for me will be IF the WW is never available with her "EAGLE" chest icon
---as it is, I can see possibly comissioning someone to redo Aquaman's shirt
with a strictly orange material.
(Maybe even comission a sculptor te resculpt JOKER'S hair to something a bit more
70s---i.e. less bangs)

I have gotten all of them but the movie Bats & Supes. Overall I think most of them have been done decently enough. The ones I like the least are Two-Face, Catwoman and Power Girl.
Two-Face - I have to agree that the head is just too small. Other than that not a terrible figure.
Catwoman - I just don't like the outfit. I don't know why when it comes to making her in particular that nobody ever seems to get her right. It might be perhaps that she has had more costume changes than just about anybody. I think the one I liked the most from the comics was the purple cat suit.
Power Girl - The sculpted hair looks really bad. But the "BIGGEST" problem is her big chest. They made her chest so ridiculously huge that it's difficult to take her seriously as a character. She's another of those DC characters that they just don't seem to know what to do with. She should have been killed off in Crisis instead of Supergirl. I don't know who came up with that lastest costume of hers but it too needs a drastic change. The cape going under her arm like that looks totally stupid and makes no sense. I dunno, maybe I'm just not a fan of the character.
I think the smartest thing DC Direct could do in regards to Wonder Woman is to model her figure based on the Lynda Carter look. Not necessarily her face, but her costume was perfect on the show. If they go with the modernized version of her then she should be based on Brian Bolland's depiction of the her on those great comic covers he did.
Just FYI Power Girl's current outfit and overly chesty depection goes all the way back to All-Star Comics #58, her first appearance. Ric Estrada and Wally Wood illustrated PG with the peep-hole and the cape over the shoulder and all that. She was toned down later on due to complaints mostly from former DC publisher Jenette Kahn.
I actually like what they did with PG. It fits the character as she was originally and currently depicted. The normal female body wouldn't have been quite right for her.
