Man! New revelation here. I did not know these were about 8-inch scale.
You guys may all have known that these being Kotosambuca, or whatever, they are basically "Mego" scale--- but I didn't see it mentioned in this thread, so it's new to me---although, it sunk in after seeing the Gentle Giant figures discussed.
I was "all in" on the Superfriends FTCs, but now that it's being reported that these guys are doing all "Challenge" hereoes sans ethnic heroes---I'll be just buying FTC's LOD and their HB Ethnic heroes and sidekicks.
I wouldn't get GG's SPs---Gentle Giant is a ripoff IMHO---and I'm not into 12-inch scale anyway--- but as far as 8-inch scale Superfriends on display to compliment the FTC-produced Hanna-Barberish Legion Of Doom, these Kotomiyagi Super Powers will do more nicely for me than the eight non-ethnic/non-teen sidekick Superfriends FTC will make.
After releasing a teaser earlier this month, Kotobukiya has now revealed the first details of its DC Universe Super Powers ARTFX+ statues, inspired by the popular 1980s action figures.
The 1/10th-scale series of non-articulated statues (just under 8 inches tall) debuts in August with Superman, which boasts his classic costume, a real cloth cape and “an alternate arm part to recreate the classic ‘power action’ move.”
The Man of Steel is followed in September by Green Lantern and October by The Flash. They retail for $29.99 each.
