A little pre-Toy Fair Star Wars figure news.

Nice to see more Original Trilogy figures. I was surprised to see another Leia in the Saga Legends line. But still no Luke farmboy!? Seriously!? They've made just about every possible version of Luke now other than the most iconic.

Thanks to the fine folks over at the Jedi Temple Archives, we have some new photos of a bunch of upcoming Star Wars figures. They have posted photos showing upcoming Star Wars Saga Legends for both classic and Rebels characters. These fall under the Star Wars Rebels Saga Legends banner, and come in Rebels styled...

Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

The old school stuff looks great, but this household was hoping for more friends for Ezra.

These look pretty good. And I'm not a big fan on the modern SW stuff.

They look kind of fun but I'm just not that into SW these days...

There's a lot more Rebels figures coming too. They just weren't shown with this set.

Awesome looking figures---but I can't buy these now, what with the Black Series 6-inchers and possible Gentle Giant 6-inch scale vintage replicas.

To me, these figures scream "Hey! We're approximately 20 years too late!"
"No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris Mannix

I think for once, the Star Wars franchise treads on uncharted territory. It's creator is no longer attached and the iconic villain that has been the center piece for the entire story arc for nearly 38 years is gone. Do we get Darth Vader 2.0 or did Disney spend all that money to give Star Wars a complete facelift? If I'm wearing my business hat, I think Darth Vader comes back in some capacity because to this day people still buy that character more than any other. So it's going to be interesting to see how long Disney can keep the lid on a toy figure that represents the next Dark Lord. To me, that is the biggest story from this toy line.

Still very much liking the retro vibe that these 5POA figures have.

                    Me too. Love the sculpts!

Unfortunately, the new Saga Legends line started out poorly with it very Prequel heavy focus. When PM 3D was still mercilessly glutting on the shelves, more Anakins and young Obis was beyond Prequel overkill. I really dig the style and I'm now starting to get worried that we are running out of time on Rebels and Original Trilogy figures with SW 7 toys supposedly hitting this fall. It's been way too long since they've made an Old Ben, Luke farmboy, Empire Lando, etc. It's been 11 years, now, since we've gotten a classic SW white gown Leia like the one that comes in the upcoming 2 pack with Luke Stormtrooper.

I'm beginning to worry we will never see figures like Greedo, Hammerhead, Jawa, Tusken Raider, etc. in this style.

Yeah, the 5 poa with these sculpts actually makes for very nifty retro looking original trilogy figures. Idk if I'll be picking up any as I already have at least one of each with much more articulation, but they are nice for what they are. Looking forward to more Rebels as well. Any word on whether the new trilogy figures will be in both the saga legends and black style, or if one style will be favored over the other at retail?

I like em... I'm back into my vintage SW collecting full force, so these are fun... Loves me some Rebels too.
