Awesome display! I've been putting out our own every year since they first came on the scene. My center piece is Santa's castle. But your set up is wonderful!
"Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Very cool. I never got the castle. If you don't mind, post a photo your setup if you get a chance. I'd enjoy seeing it.
We live in a tri-level, so our upper and lower family rooms get decorated for Christmas. But since the upper family room is the main entry, that's where I like to put the Rankin/Bass display.
Here's a closer look at the castle. Instead of displaying the exterior, we found it more entertaining to turn it around and display characters on the interior.
Santa and his reindeer always hover over top.
On the way up to the bedrooms one of the bigger, plush Rudolphs greet the kids.
And a giant Charlie in the box sits over one of the entrances into the Kitchen.
WOW!!! You guys did a fantastic job. Both displays are Super!!! These were/are great shows. Love Year Without a Santa Claus with the Miser brothers and Santa Claus is Comin to Town with Burgermeister Meisterburger and the Winter Warlock. Cool stuff!!!
Wonderful displays ! I seem to recall a thread a few years ago where someone posted pics of their Rankin/Bass collection. I'm alternately impressed and jealous: wish I'd collected these when they were released!
