Yeah, I have liked Sideshow 1/6 DC figures since they were 1st shown at 2012 SDCC! Why have they taken SO LONG to release? The $200 price hurts, too! I collected almost all 13" DC Direct figures and was glad when Sideshow got DC license in 2011! I was equally thrilled when Sideshow announced 1/6 MARVEL figures at 2014 SDCC! Not since Mego has a company had DC and Marvel figure licenses simultaneously! Megos were as little as $2 each though vs $200!
Thursday September 25 Sideshow 1/6 Deadpool figure goes up for pre-order! Anxious to see price!
That's a horrible likeness of Batman's face. I still prefer the simplicity of mego's over highly detailed figures. It looks more like a statue than a toy.
I like it...but I think all of Sideshow's stuff so far is too...artist specific. And not an artist known for the character, but a Sideshow artist. There's a bit of Jim Lee in this, but the eyes are further apart, and very small and round, and the ears are oddly curved.
It's a beautiful piece, but for that price, I want straight iconic status represented. So it needs to be Neal Adams, JLGL or Lee or someone like that.

I agree with this 100%...this has always been a sticking point with me on all of Sideshow's Marvel and DC pieces. Their movie stuff is accurate, but all their comic based figures are their interpretations of the character, not how they actually appeared. Like their upcoming Wolverine 1:6 figure with all this excess stitching and leathery suede material.
I think they missed the mark slightly on Batman too. Instead of tall and short ears, I'd have been even more impressed if they'd found some way to do an interchangeable bat on his chest with and without the yellow oval. To me, Batman needs the oval.
This is just my own childish preference, but here goes.
I hate this.
Oh, it's ambitious, and I'm sure well crafted, but the vibe is just Ugly with a capital "U". Not a toy I'd want to own. This version of Batman is just filled with meanness and hate. I'd recommend the Dark Knight urge Alfred to add a little more fiber in his diet.
I'm glad Chris mentioned the eyes, because if you were to remove the cowl, no human being would have eyes that far apart.
I do understand why some folks like it, but I'm not one of them. Blecch.
Overall, smells like a Chinese toy factory(LOL), okay articulation and good paint jobs. For what it comes with(all accessories) and the less than stellar boots and gloves, plus the belt keeps riding high like the FTC Batman '66, I would have to say that it's not worth the price. Too much spend on packaging(Big Box/waste of space) and does not feel as beefy as I thought it would. For the amount of paint, plastic and cloth plus being made in China, not worth the price of admission. Seems another reason to overcharge and the company make quick cash.
Sorry I don't have pics for it but impact is very....Meh. Photos on the thread are great so that must be prototype with touch ups. But then what you do expect from a mass produced factory made product. I'll wait to let grow on me but I'm sure other folks will like it right off the bat.
