    Reaction figure variations?

I was at ToysRus last night and they too had some of the Reaction figures (Escape from NY, Back to the future, Terminator and firefly). Interestingly all of them still had figures on the pegs but the two pegs for New York were completely sold out.

I noticed they had the Terminator T skeleton in the dull grey (as he is advertised on the back of the package) and then they had two on the peg with a really nice chrome finish who was not advertised on the back of the package.

Has any one else seen any other non listed variations for some of these figures?

The only retail ones I know of is the Glow in the dark versions of the Mummy and the Creature. There are also some variant San Diego comicon versions of the Pulp Fiction, Predator, Rocketeer and Sloth from Goonies

When they first listed the figures they showed a painted and chromed endo-skeleton I think they also listed a clear predator, the b&w Rocketeer is very cool my local comic shop had some and I was lucky enough that they put the retro figures aside for me

There are SDCC variants of Mal and Jayne.

Mal includes his Browncoat, and Jayne his Cunning Hat.

Both include exclusive card photos different from the standard release.

Why? The Mal reminds me of Trenchcoat Han.

I wish I could snag one.

Entertainment Earth has a clear Invisible Man figure listed. He's $12.99 instead of $9.99 like the normal version. That's a neat variant until you realize...he'd have to be naked to be invisible like that, and the figure is fully bandaged, robed, etc.

Is the invisable man a chase or an exclusive?

Can't say I blame 'em, really.

Though I can't wait for the BTTF 2 wave, and I really wanna see who's in wave 2 of Firefly.

Yeah, me neither...for the most part, I get it, but 2 versions of Kane in the same assortment seems a bit odd to me

It kind of makes sense to do both, though I agree spacing them out a bit would have been better.

Then again, what is there left from the first film? Ash done like C-3PO with removable limbs would be neat.

The rest of the crew would have been nice...maybe for the 3rd....I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I really can't stand the Kane with chest burster...I realize they are making these toys for adults as they are going for that retro vibe. There is no way Kenner would have made this figure back in the day. Not only is it gross, but it has zero play value to a kid. Who wants to be the dead guy?

                              These aren't for kids, though.

I understand the disconnect. It's fun to imagine that these WERE Kenner lines, but things like The Gimp, and chestburster Kane shatter that illusion somewhat. Still, I see it as a blend of things that should have been, as well as things that never could have happened then.

ReAction isn't the Return of Kenner, it's the application of Kenner Aesthetic, to a wide variety of interests. But we must remember that Kenner DID License The Alien franchise, twice. They didn't get too graphic, but it WAS an adult franchise. (I know the 90s line was based on a cartoon that never happened).

I try not to look at it as "Things we should have gotten then" (especially since so many licenses didn't exist then, but work amazingly with the style), and just enjoy it as it is.

As for Kane, I think they could have done it with one figure. Facehugger and Chestburster together. Have the burster clip on with less gore. Then you have a regular Kane with two accessories to reenact that scene, instead of one figure that has no purpose except that scene.

Would love Big Trouble in Little China.
