I guess I've been out of the loop for about a decade, cause I just now started paying attention to these today while waiting for an appointment. RAH in 1982-84was the last actual line of figures I ever really played with and not just collected so they do have a special meaning to me somewhat. Now I'm seeing these newly articulated figures and sculpts and I guess slightly smaller scale and they just blew me away with the detail and weaponry. I might have to start getting these, and I'm sure i have a lot to go back and grab as well. Anyone familiar with these and can give some advice? There's soooooooo much on ebay it's hard to distinguish some of it. The Lowlight/ Night Viper two pack I saw today is just sick with detail. I'm going back to grab it tomorrow. Where do I even begin to start searching these?

New GI Joe 3 3/4 figs
I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return... -
^^^WOW thanks. That was the information jackpot. That site has everything I need to start searching and picking and choosing which characters I want. This is a great database with some cool pics.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

Yeah, you can get lost in YoJoe.com for days easy. I've kept up a bit with Joe via my son, and they really have made some great figures, particularly starting with the 25th Anniversary line. It kinda stinks that the lackluster movie lines killed that series.
Incidentally, my kids watch the classic Joe cartoon every morning before school. I usually just catch the last 5 minutes, but it brings back a lot of happy memories.

And, the 25th Anniversary line is/was great. Of course, it's not the original RAH, but it's pretty darn well done.

I had every issue of Joe through, I think 125. Did it end there for a while? I can't remember. I was mildly obsessed with the characters and even created a GI Joe role playing game while in high school. I guess I just kinda forgot the magic Larry Hama created for a good ong while. So far I've found at least 25 figures I need to pick up, classic characters in their classic form just with the enhanced poseability. Really great site.I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

Where is it airing? I know that it was on Hub for a while.

When they released a Matt Trakker from M.A.S.K. in the 25th anniversary line, that blew my mind. I only wish they'd done more!

Scott, the last issue of GI Joe from marvel was #155. Larry Hama resumed his run on GI Joe with issue 156 from IDW
Hama also has written various issues of different GI Joe titles in recent years, including a Storm Shadow miniseries.
My brother is a HUGE Gi Joe RAH fan, and has most of the GI Joe 25th anniversary series onwards. If you have any questions, drop me a line and I can ask him.Comment

Yeah, that sounds right now that I'm thinking about it. My issue run stopped around 120 I think. I'm really into these 25th figs and their new designs. I'll be picking up a bunch of them here soon. I might just grab one a week off ebay till I have all the core characters or maybe stumble upon a good deal of a Joe lot. I also loved the Sigma 6 stuff but it was impossible to find locally. I can't tell you how many stores I went to in search of Lt. Falcon.
The game we created was fairly complex and comprehensive. The characters had like 30 ratings/stats with standard ones like physical strength, stamina, charisma but also ventured into others like stealth, wits, eyesight, intuition and guts. I think when we completed all of the NPC characters from the comics the highest rated one, taking everything into account, was Beachead. Snake Eyes would have been up there in an overall ranking but scored obviously low in charisma, verbal communication.
So, does anyone here have some extra 2007 and beyond Joes for sale/trade?I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

My brother also gets a figure-a-month from the GI Joe club. Some pretty cool ones too. I'll snap some pics later. Although according to him, the last couple of years have been pretty sad for Joe fans, not much representation in the aisles since the movie figures, and they only seeded a few in to appease old school RAH fans.
I'm tabling at a toy convention in a few weeks where Larry Hama is a guest.Last edited by samurainoir; Sep 5, '14, 2:24 PM.Comment
