I think NECA has actually beaten Hot Toys for once!

As far as the 66 Robin...

I've really checked them both out and I think NECA's Robin wins hands down.

I think the Burt Ward likeness is better on NECA's figure. I can't quite put my finger on it, but something about the Hot Toys one just seems a little off.

    Opinions?

I really wish those Neca figures were in 1/6 and 1/12 scale. They do look nice.

The Neca Robin is a nice piece and I can definitely appreciate the likeness here, but I own the Hot Toys Robin and he's incredibly impressive at every angle. The materials used are even more impressive. It really looks like Burt Ward shrunken down. But I'll be purchasing the Neca one as well. That looks quite nice.

Sorry, but the HT one is still the better likeness.

The neca batman and robin are the reason I never pulled he trigger on the hot toys. They are huge and really impressive (well, the batman) on my shelf. My favorite toy in the collection at the moment.

Sorry BAT, but I think the shape of the head is more accurate on the NECA figure. NECA's body proportions are also more accurate because it's completely sculpted vs. using a stock body. Plus, the Hot Toys version cape is a bit too short and there are too many eyelets on the costume.

There's something about the blank expression on the Hot Toys Robin that bugs me...Burt Ward was always so animated and charged with enthusiasm as Robin... The NECA one captures more of that somehow.

I just don't see a superior likeness in the Neca figure, at least not from that photo. In fact I don't see Burt Ward there at all. And I prefer fabric over plastic for the costume. Hot Toys FTW.

Man that is so weird. I see completely the opposite on those two head sculpts.
It's amazing how people can see things so differently. I guess that's why sculpting or drawing a good likeness is so difficult.

I've already decided to go for the 1/4 scale figures, and Neca Robin looks good to me.
HT looks nice, but I find their figures with just cloth costumes overpriced. An Iron Man, ok, that has lots of special parts that make the price acceptable, but not something like their Batman.
When I look at price points, size and sculpt, Neca is the way for me. They have a nice balance between all those...

Robin on the right looks cross eyed, looking like he took a punch to the face by the Joker, that and along with his baggie knees.

Sorry, not seeing it. It looks more like Michael J. Fox than Ward to me. Not bad, but nowhere near Hot Toys.

The only area the Neca one appears to be better is in Robin's.....uhm......"anatomical accuracy".

Burt Ward is legendarily well endowed. An entire book was written about it.

And now you can't stop staring at a toy's junk.
