I'm sure that's a nightmare we all share. Hope this is just something you found on the web, and is not yours.

I had to log in just to see what this nightmare was about!
Yup, that's stomach churning. No relief to the torture until you investigate every tiny piece for breakage and get them back up.

You know another nightmare worry for collectors?
Yes floods, hurricanes, tornados, fires, but more importantly....

                    EARTHQUAKES. gak. Terrifying.

This is a Saint Seiya collection.
Most of these are heavy figures with die-cast armors. I hope this wasn't your collection, I'd be devastated.
I guess the shelves weren't meant for all this heavy metal.
This is going to take a long time to sort out and re-assemble, and the paints will have damage, no doubt...

I have quite a few of these. The ones from the 80s also were die-cast (but smaller scale).

Yeah, my wife has been experiencing her share of earthquakes in the past couple of years working in Japan.

I just saw a really cool magnetic display system a friend of mine uses for his one-of-a-kind Celebrity Deathmatch puppets (used in actual production). I would totally make magnetic displays like this if I lived in earthquake country. How do the Californians here for example try and protect their stuff from the shakes?

Speaking of protecting your toy collections...does anyone here have their toys insured?...
