    NECA Aliens

My dream of a 8" Mego style set of Colonial Marines actually seems feasible with NEC continuing their Aliens line of figures.

Depending on the size that spacesuit just might be able to be converted to a Mego custom.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

These are the 7" all sculpted figures, aren't they?

given the size of the current Aliens Marines from Neca, it will definitely be too small.

With NECA embracing the 8" retro cloth format as an extension of their 7" licenses like Nightmare on Elm St, Evil Dead, Planet of the Apes etc. I'm really hoping the Alien/Aliens humans get the "Mego" treatment. Since they have existing Aliens sculpts, hopefully they would also be doing 1/9th Aliens to go with Mego sized figures (if they go that route)

Although with major licenses like Aliens getting released in multiple sized formats (Funko ReAction 3 3/4", 7 inch Neca, 12" Hot toys), one really has to wonder if collectors can sustain multiple formats like this. I'm already into the 3 3/4" figures. am I willing to make the jump for 7" and 1/6th high end Hot toys on top of that? or roll the dice that 1/9th Mego format will eventually come?

I was thinking the same thing. I built an Alien retro-Mego so I'm selfishly hoping they don't make that one.

I'm still rather fond of these earlier Japanese Aoshima figures:
