New Rom the Space Knight figure from Hasbro. The good and bad news.

The good news: Finally a new Rom figure

The bad news: It's a SDCC exclusive

The even worse news: It's a Mighty Mug.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yeah, kinda stoked on the assumption a new Rom comic is on the way and some new merchandise but not really excited about these deformed collector figures.

First this news made me so happy.
Then it left me so sad.

If there's any way I can get one (if i can afford one, that is), since I can't go to SDCC, I will... no question.

Rumor has it that this is the first shot at Hasbro bringing Rom in via the Transformers line. Hoping also, since Hasbro owns Parker Bros., we might get a repro of the original toy.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

The SDCC exclusives always end up on the Hasbro online shop. I've purchased a number of the Mighty and Mini Muggs SDCC exclusives that way. And for the same price.

It's a good first step, but fingers crossed for cooler ROM toys!

Well, not a real one, the classic action figure, I mean....

I love ROM but not in this form. I though Muggs were dead.

It's the cheapest way to test the response, if this sells, more ROM.

That said, it ain't for me.

If Muggs were more in scale with Funkos POP figures, id probably get this guy. But theyre a bit too big for that if i remember Muggs correctly. Anyway, its good to see ROM getting some kind of figure love after all these years........just a strange way to get it.......for a line thats been gone for years.

Not exactly what I would hope for- but hey, it's the first new Rom since...what....1978? I'm in.
