24" Jakks pacific Godzilla on sale at TRU.

Just scored 2 of the big guys at my local TRU.

All godzilla toys are 25% off until the 24th, and that made the 24 incher only $37.49

Who knows if these'll make it to clearance, so this may be one of the cheapest ways to get him at retail.

I've seen him at TRU. The boxes were beat, so I decided to wait to find a better one. I do plan on just keeping him in the box, unless I buy a second one on sale or clearance later.

I expected him to be bigger, based on the comments I've read on line. I thought he was 24" tall. But look at him standing between the Kenner Alien and the Shogun. Godzilla is "only" 19" tall. Take away the tail and he's not much bigger than the Alien.

With the tail attached he's hunched forward, and what's shown is basically the tallest you can make him.
Without the tail (I don't know why anyone would display him without) he stands a bit more straight and gets a touch more height.

I do like him, but yeah, even while being one of the bigger/est regular retail toys released in a while, he seems "not big enough".

But for less than $40.00 I'm not racked with regret.

I can't believe this is on sale and I've never actually seen one in the wild.

Wish I'd seen such a deal in my neck of the woods. TRU's website wouldn't add the jumbo Godzilla to the cart when I read this thread last week.
I believe the cost was $59.99 when I checked TRU in person.
So I'm going to buy from Entertainment Earth most likely.
