Neat! I LOVED the Secret Wars figures when I was a kid.

Mina is the world's first Paranormal Petsitter in the new middle-grade book series by Gary Buettner, MONSTER PETS, coming in FALL 2014 from EMBY KIDS. Spooky adventure that's perfect reading for kids 8-12

Neat idea. Black Terror has a Super Powers cape!

Man of Mystery almost looks like it could be Captain Action, but we know ZICA is doing those in a scale close to these.

I actually drew a version of Stardust in the one issue of FemForce I contributed to. For an obscure character, he gets around!

Actually, Fresh Monkey Fiction has put the Captain Action logo up on their Facebook page, so it probably is going to be a Captain Action figure. The G.I. Joe style and Secret Wars style are different enough that I don't think these will really be in competition with each other.

Those are neat. I'd buy Captain Action in this format for sure.

Stardust creator Fletcher Hanks had a tragic end it seems.

Fletcher Hanks (December 1, 1887-February, 1976) was found dead, outdoors, on a New York City park bench, in freezing winter temperatures.

It would be neat if they made Fantomah

                  ^Whoah, that is weird.

Stardust looks a bit like the later Miracle Man, so maybe that's part of his wonky appeal. I understand the actual strip was pretty weird too.

Maybe it's the old characters, but I get a Remco "Mighty Crusaders" vibe off of these figures as well.

The Stardust comics are insane. He's pretty much omnipotent, as he has any super power that is needed for the story. And he kills and tortures his enemies, often in bizarre surreal ways. The comics read like writer/artist Fletcher Hanks just stayed up for a couple of days straight and drew all the panels without any kind of script or plot, in a stream of consciousness style. The comics are really weird, but you don't get the impression that Fletcher Hanks was trying to be weird, more like he just cranked them out as fast as he could and never gave them a second thought.

Huh. I assume "Hero of the Red Planet" is a knock off of John Carter of Mars?
I wonder who "Enhanced Super Hero" will be "inspired by."

Yeah I was going to say they would fit pretty well with the Mighty Crusaders. I have a soft spot for those old super hero characters nobody remembers.

Whoa, never thought I'd see a GA Daredevil figure, these are cool. And thank you Ed for introducing me to the madness of Fletcher Hanks. After reading the story reprinted on Bissette's site, I'm seriously thinking of picking up one of the reprint books that Fantagraphics put out.
