I'm late to the Hot Toys Cap party and missed out on the one I wanted (First Avenger Cap) and don't really want to pay aftermarket prices, so I was happy to see there's a pre-order up for a new two-pack due in 2015 of Steve Rogers and Captain America in his stealth suit from Winter Soldier. It's really sharp.

Steve, don't know if you saw this one, but Hot Toys is doing a NEW version of the "Golden Age" or First Avenger costume as well.
That Steve/Stealth Cap is tempting, but then I remember the West and Ward figures on their way...

Love that this one is available too.
the latest Black Widow is amazing too. Digging the rooted hair. I know Hot Toys sometimes goes with sculpted hair, but this really works.

Oh wow, those all look great. That two-pack and Winter Soldier are calling to me, though my wallet is yelling 'resist!'.sigpic

I don't really get the "no paint" look on the shield, after seeing the film. Maybe that was the plan, and perhaps it was even shot that way, but you get the no-red look in the opening, and then it's the traditional red, white and blue through the rest of the movie.
Chris
Then we get his Red White and Blue WW2 costume with the full red shield on the rerelease figure.
It's driving the point home of his character arc within the film, that he was uncertain what he was fighting for in the beginning on these missions for SHIELD, but then he dons the flag/original uniform with certainty of his mission at the end of the film.Last edited by samurainoir; Apr 6, '14, 8:36 PM.Comment

Although... comparing it to the non-deluxe version of the stealth suit, the paint isn't "scraped off" like in the two pack. I guess it's just trying to make every conceivable option available to justify multiple figures?
Here's another thought... is there an international version showing overseas where he runs around with this version of the shield with the paint scraped off after he encounters the Winter Soldier in his civvies?

The CA Golden Age figure is really nice, but it was sold out within a few hours of being posted. There's a wait list, for whatever that's worth. The set looks really good though, and is very tempting.Comment

^I was referring to the nearly all white shield the plainclothes Steve has above. That's not actually in the movie. The stealth version is in the opening, but for the rest of the film, it's the traditional colors, which I'm glad for. I do wonder at what point this idea was scrapped, as early movie posters showed a shield like this too.

Didn't like Cap's costume in Avengers, but this one is cool.
But I have the First Avenger Cap, and I'm really happy with it, so....
