Apparently Bridge Direct (known for their Hobbit figures) is now the master toy license for Strawberry Shortcake.
On one hand, I'm kinda sad to see Hasbro not making them anymore Because of their link to Kenner and the original Strawberry line. But on the other hand, after a promising start, they quickly gave up on line and didn't really do much with it. I would have loved more classic Kenner Berries like with the anniversary three pack. Ah, well.
From Toy Fair this year. Looks like they are only doing the modern era. They obviously can't reproduce the Kenner dolls but it would have been nice to see new dolls based on the classic designs. But at least there will be new Berry toys for kids and collectors.
I wonder what this means for the series on Hub? Can't see Hasbro continuing to show the cartoon on their network when they are not making the toys anymore.
