Game of Thrones 6" by Funko

Has anybody else seen these Game of Thrones 6" figures by Funko? They kind of took me by surprise as I didn't know anything about them til yesterday. I am kind of split on them. While some of the detail looks good, the face sculpts are a little meh. I picked up The Hound (wanted Tyrion but wasn't there) at Barnes and Noble yesterday but haven't opened it. (Haven't decided if I will keep it yet) How is the articulation and quality on these? I am a huge fan of the books and show, but I am not sure these are worth the $20.00 retail price.

Some of the costuming and such is nicely done, and I like the packaging, but I agree... the face sculpts are generic.

I'm holding out for the ThreeZero 1:6 figures:

That looks great. I can't wait to see some of the others. The problem I will have there will be the $100+ price on them.

Quality is not good on these, lots of breakage issues. Read this before buying... http://www.poeghostal.com/2014/02/po...f-thrones.html

Kind of weird Funko is getting into straight-ahead action figures without the retro or vinyl slant.

I'll wait till these hit Tuesday Morning or Ollies or whatever secondary store picks up the remainder. I'm thinking accessories for customs. The Narnia figs had some great weapons and armor, and I imagine these will be nothing but fodder to me.

I am hoping they have a payment plan that accepts kidneys.

Picked up White Walker, Tyrion and Snow today. Haven't opened them yet, but look great. I'll try and post some photos once I get them opened.

I'll wait for a 1/6 Tyrion. That one looks really cool.

Are these only at Barnes and noble? Scalpers are getting happy on the prices of these online

These are for sale on Barnes and Noble website for $17.95. I bought Tyrion and Jon Snow last week to go along with the Hound that I bought in store. I opened these all up, and they aren't too bad. The overall detail is decent, even though some of the faces are lacking. I think Tyrion is a really close sculpt. They have standard articulation, but they really don't seem to pose very well. The armor, tunics and capes kind of get in the way of it. While the ankles are not really lose, they seem to be hard to stand. The Hound was the only one I had any quality issues with. His side sheath came off during the process of taking him out of the package. I was able to glue it back on though. He also had some stiff joints that loosened up with a few seconds under a hair dryer. I am a huge fan of the books and show, so I may like them more than I should, but I plan on buying more. Looking forward to wave 2.

They are exclusive to Barnes and Noble now. I think in April they will be available in other stores.

So yeah I already broke Tyrion's axe while trying to "pop" it out of the plastic. I'm a bull in a china shop when it comes to breaking stuff, I have no finesse. The Ax is kind of way down in the plastic mold area and instead of trying to reach in with my fat fingers and pull it out I try pushing it from behind the plastic and it snapped one side of the Ax. I can glue it easy enough, just seemed really weakly made. Either way I opened the 3 I got so far in Jon Snow, Tyrion and White Walker. They are awesome as figures, I'm not a big stickler for faces being exact. The outfits are badass. I can't wait for Wave 2. I just wish they would not make Daenery's again. Would have prefered either a 6" Dragon, how they looked in season 2 or Dire-wolf.

Would love to see wave 3 characters of Samwell, Tywin, Joffrey with crown, Cersei, Jora Mormont in armor and uhhhhhh tough one, Gentry w/Bull helmet. Probably to late to get a Robert Baratheon.

How sweet would it be to see some 3 packs. They could be exclusive to help with the main characters.

the Nights Watch (From the first scene of the show)
the Nights Watch w/Benjen, Pip, other guy always with Pip and jon & Samwell)
Dothraki warriors (the one who cut Drogo and the brother/sister combo who stayed with Dany)
                          Dire-Wolfs (two sets)
                          Dragons
Dany's Officers w/Grey Worm, Barriston Selmy, Jora
                          Council w/Little Finger, Spider, Pycelle
Lannisters dogs w/The Mountain, Ilyan Payne, Capt Guard
                          Wildlings w/Mance, Ygritte, Giantsbane

You get the idea I could day dream for days on these figures. Need some horses also, lol.

Loose picks. I already broke Tyrion's ax. There are some issues, but I am still really happy with these as action figures.

Those are kinda cool looking. Wish the head sculpts were better... but I think it is kind of fun when the head sculpts are a little off.

Out of curiosity, how do the weapons work for Megos? I know they'd be on the small side, are they passable scale? Do they fit in their hands? (Please don't break anything trying to test it out, though!)
