Vintage outfits on a new Captain Action body?

Has anyone here tried putting a vintage outfit on the new body? You can snatch the old ones complete for not too much investment.

I really like the old red shirt Lone Ranger and the Flash Gordon.

I would not try it. You could ruin your vintage or PM CA uniforms putting them on the new CA figures. The body is too big, and fat compared with Ideal & PM CA figures.
