Matty 66 Utility Belt on sale today

...and I think I'll pass. I just don't think this is $125 worth of Utility Belt here. It's not really wrong, but not overly accurate either. For instance, where's the holster for the Batarang? If you include the Batarang, you need the holster. It's mostly plastic too.

I was looking forward to this, but the price point seems high. I know it's way cheaper than what DCD charged for theirs, but this just looks too much like a toy, and not at toy prices.

Yeah, Chris, I'm torn on this. I must admit, there's some appeal to a licensed piece. But I already have a very good fan-made belt, and at some point, I plan to upgrade to a belt made by Chuck Williams (the best of the best). So, other than being able to say I have an officially licensed piece, I think I'm going to pass.

Maybe they'll go on sale at some point, and then I'll strike if it's a bargain.

^That's another thing: The Ollie's factor. Matty can say all they want, but these things could possibly end up there in a few years at half price or less.

I love this and would probably pull the trigger in a heartbeat if not for Matty's history of dumping product into the deep discount market after claiming a sell-out.

Of the product I ordered previously with the higher shipping costs to Canada, Retro Green Arrow, Retro set of four Green Lanterns and the Superman Movie Masters 12" figures, all can be had for a fraction of the original price.

Gonna keep my eyes peeled over the next few years for this at a discount price. (my hope for the Watchmen figures too)

Batzarro is pretty cool though.
