Ever After High (rival school for Monster High)

So today I stopped by my Target just checking to see what the doll section had not thinking I was going to find anything. Next thing I know I find these new from Mattel mixed in with the Monster High figures: Ever After High

    Ever After High wave 1
ever after wave 1.jpg2 pack HUNTER HUNTSMAN AND ASHLYNN ELLA.jpg

The great thing is they fit in perfect with the Monster High figures so you can expand your collection and offer a High School rival. The single pack run $22 each.

    Story line:
The Ever After High storyline is based upon the children of famous fairy tale characters attending the eponymous high school, who are destined to follow in their parents’ footsteps to keep their stories alive through generations, otherwise their stories will cease to exist. However, Raven Queen is unhappy with her destiny and wishes to write her own path. The school gets divided in ‘Royals or Rebels’ which is between those who know they will have a happily ever after and those with less favorable destinies or those who prefer the idea of writing their own destiny.

    Dolls:
They are very similar to Monster High - the main differences are the rounder faces, thicker and more human-like bodies, and the differences in how different molds are utilized - example, Madeline Hatter is shorter to resemble her size in the series, and not her age. Unlike Monster High, the characters each share similar face molds.

And yes this school is the Rival to Monster High. C.A. Cupid is the adopted daughter of Eros and Psyche. She is a Rebel. She transferred from Monster High. She has the power to make people fall in love; because of this, other students can count on her to help them find their true love or advice. She has a crush on Dexter Charming. Her color scheme is light pink and gold. Like Raven, she is voiced by Erin Fitzgerald.

Oops, these figures are not supposed to get released until next week. I got lucky at my Target just put them out early. They will be on sell at TRU also.

I started a thread about this a while back.

It got just as much interest, lol.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I have a feeling this are going to go over well. They are based on fairy tales legends but fit in with Monster High. This will bring over the Disney people, bring in the families that do not want there kids to play with the "monsters".

I think the mix of Disney Princesses with Monster High will appeal just fine with kids. I've watched a bit of the webtoons a couple of months ago and planned on getting Raven and Madeline. I like their toon designs and that Madeline is pretty much a copy of Pinkie Pie personality wise. But the dolls themselves don't really click with me. Maybe after I see them in person. In all the pics I've seen, they are too baby doll faced for my tastes.
