On a somewhat similar note, I have noticed they haven't mentioned the Rocketeer lately, which is a bummer.
They haven't mentioned Rocketeer because they started advertising the mock packaging before they got the rights. Understandably that ticked the license holders off. So that may never see the light of day. I don't take those voting requests as anything more than marketing window dressing to make fans feel "invested". They've been doing the voting requests since they started their Facebook page and nothing they've manufactured has ever reflected the content of those polls. Since these are package mock ups, you can bet they already know what they want to release from those. Plus you can gauge interest by just looking at the likes. There are not enough 'likes' on any of that stuff to make a business decision. At this point, I would wait and see if they can even get Wave 4 released since they've been advertising that for over a year now. Losing TRU was a big blow to their money flow and exposure. We'll have to wait and see if they can create a new business model to get this stuff out.

That's right. I'd forgotten about them jumping the gun. I do hope that gets made at some point, because I imagine the Medicom version's going for a good deal more than I'm prepared to pay.

This would have been an awesome sculpt.

It's too bad the finished product didn't come close to it.

^^^ Yep. That's why I never place much faith in what their mock packaging looks like. Look at the Batman mock-up right now. That is nothing more than a photo of the DC Direct 12 inch figure cut up to suggest "pieces" of the costume.

That's a really poor and deceptive method for producing a mock-up, without a doubt. I had such hope and excitement for this line when it was first announced, but I've cooled considerably.

If the Superman and Batman sets don't get made the line is over. If that happens I wonder if another company like Figures would be willing to take on Captain Action.

This line has flawed DNA, I'm sorry to say. They should've just continued the Playing Mantis format. These toys are not fun to hold, pose, or play with, given their factory-loose knees and overly muscled forearms. Just about the only thing they have going is colorful costumes that harken back to silver age designs.

think I would have liked the original body better also, wonder what Thor would have looked like with the original body and vintage materials
