Dr Doom would sell better than Mandarin without a doubt, but I wouldn't be too sure about Red Skull or Green Goblin. Those two are pretty iconic, and would doubtless translate better to the format. I really doubt they could do Doom's armor justice - would they have to resort to rubber arms & legs like ToyBiz ? A poorly executed Doom would be worse than no Doom.

I agree Doom's armor presents some problems, BUT if they're able to pull off Iron Man, they should be able to make Doom work.
There's really six iconic villains in the MU that need to be made for this line. We already have Loki, and they have to do Green Goblin, Red Skull, Magneto, Dr. Doom, and I'd love to see the Leader, but without a Hulk he wouldn't make much sense, so I'm going with Dr. Octopus. Doc Ock would be pretty easy to do actually. They could sculpt a separate harness for his arms that would give him some girth without having to design a fat body. It worked perfectly for the Hasbro 9 inch. figure.

CA does "polls" all the time. But they never do anything with them. It's just a device to keep people talking about their line. Ultimately they might want to consider SELLING SOMETHING to stay financially viable.

^^^ What you need to pay special attention to are the words "should be" and "planned". A more realistic answer based on current results are they "might" have something new at the booth and they "might" have something new out next year. And I laughed when I read "special convention prices" for wave 1 & 2 deluxe sets. The ones they can't currently give away online? Gotcha...

I'd vote for, aside from Superman, Batman and Aquaman, Flash, Green Lantern, and Action Boy with his original AND space uniforms, Superboy, Robin, Kid Flash, Aqualad, and Bucky.
