I was poking around the Johnny Lightning page and came across a link to (new parent company) Tomy's new BattleBorg bots- it's rockem sockem using RC Nintendo Wii style controls - could be fun!

I saw these at the main shop at the Japan pavilion at EPCOT last night!

They were in a LARGE box with a window to see the figure. I thought it included a 'battle arena' or something because it was a 14-16 in long box for a 4 in figure and the controller. I realized there's a lot of empty space in the box. Trying to justify the large price with a large box (They were $50 a figure there but toy prices at disney are notoriously inflated.). They were constructed similar to a Japanese wind-up model. Aesthetically, they remind me of the Gundam super D kits. Other companys have done similar remote control battling robot concepts, the new thing with these is the Wii style controller.

I will probably pick up a set if they are out by December. I think my boys would enjoy it.

Not being a big fan of the original Rock 'Em Sock 'Em's (they bored me) these look to be a lot of fun with a lot more play value considering the controls.
