I was going to order Heath thru Hot Toys,but they were sold out,so i decided to just go on e-bay and get him bit by bit,thru auctions and buy nows. I got really lucky quite a few times,especially with his boxes...most folks want between$ 60.00-$90.00 just for his purple presentation box...i got his box,the grey box IT came in and also the OUTER Hot Toys shipping box as well,with all packaging and plastics for $18.00 from someone who lives only 3-4 hours from here,he just wanted rid of it all..plus all 3 guns from him only cost me $15.00!!...wicked deal!! I got his PERS head for only $26.00..all other bits and clothes i bid as cheap as possible and won most.....I probably saved a couple of bucks,but it was the hunt and collection that was epic,plus this way,i can pose and play with it,and if i get anything dirty or worn,i'll just replace the item in question...I wanted my first HT to be special..I was waiting to post all of this until i got most of him here...Still waiting for his base and police diorama...

now that's a fun way to collect

I got the 1st Ledger ..., with the Bank Robber Head, and the Laughing DX Head..., that was Enough for me.

I just won my laughing head last nite for $36.00,not a recast but Hot Toys head....I still have to get the interrogation room diorama,and his DX base is on the way here...Does the first one have the bombs in his coat?? If so,i'll pick that up as well...

Here's my one (and only) Hot Toys purchase.



Took it out of the box, put it in that pose, and put it in my display cabinet. As you can see, it's falling apart. The first crack appeared after six months. Just took that photo now, and noticed there are more cracks appearing. I guess it will fall apart eventually. It's in there with 50-year old action figures that AREN'T dissolving.

As much as I like the look of Hot Toys figures, I wouldn't waste any more of my money on them.

That is one of the ones i wanted too.....too bad about the arms....Thanks for sharing...

that really sucks bro, unfortunately the early figures have those problems..The Rambo's and Rockys will eventually get it as well and the first Batmans..The problem as been corrected I believe

I'm determined to buck that trend. These are amongst my oldest Hot Toys figures and I've had zero problems with the skin. I rotate them in and out of their boxes on an annual basis to keep them from sitting in one environment too long. It seems to be working. I figure if Big Jim arms can last 40 years, so can these. That's my hope any way.

I had a MIB Rocky 4 and that started to happen without ever being removed from the package..I sold that sucker lol! maybe moving them around is the trick, I just don't want to find out

Glad to hear you finally opened some of those figures, Damian! I suppose it's the collector's instinct that makes us nervous about opening our toys, but if it's any comfort, most Hot Toys figures retain their value open, as most collectors buy them to display anyway.
MIB41, that's a fantastic collection of Stallone HTs; if I'm not mistaken, I believe that Rambo III came from me, via ebay a couple of years back! I had all the Rambo & Rocky figs, but sold them to concentrate on the Marvel & DC movie figures. Here's how I have some of my figures displayed currently, in my home theater room:



Things are a bit more crowded than I like, and I had to remove a shelf to fit the Iron Monger in. In addition to the straight factory releases, I have kit-bashed a Tony Stark in the Jericho suit from Iron Man, Tony Stark and Steve Rogers from Avengers , Obadiah Stane, Bruce Wayne, and Harvey Dent. I need to rotate a few out or get a couple more Detolfs from IKEA.

I also have the three Hot Toys Gorillas from Planet of the Apes displayed in another room. Undisplayed currently are the vehicles (Ghost Rider cycle, Bat-Pod, Tumbler, and '89 Batmobile), the Avengers Mark VI, the Suit-Up Gantry from IM2, the DX11 Joker, and Catwoman (just received her last week).
Hulk will be here soon, need to make room !

Yep! Rambo III did in fact come from you. An impressive figure too. I've enjoyed it immensely. And may I say you have an amazing collection! Just... wow. I especially like your Iron man figures. Out of all the Hot Toys Iron Man creations, I wanted to get the Mark IV. But it got too crazy in price before I could get to it. So neat to see so many of them together like that. Very impressive.
