Star Wars Missions Series and Saga Legends are now out.

Finally some new Star Wars figures. How long has it been now?

The 2013 Mission Series and Saga Legends are just starting to hit retail and online stores.

I would have preferred not such a prequel heavy start to the new line and I planned on initially only getting the Vader two pack. But the classic Kenner style and look of the figures has really won me over. Plus, these are probably the best Revenge of the Sith/Clone Wars era likenesses we've ever gotten of Anakin and Obi Wan.

These are definitely the closest we've ever gotten to modern Kenner Star Wars figures.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

No, the price is lower on these. $5.99 for single figures and $9.99 for the 2 packs. This is the kid friendly line with cheaper sturdier figures meant to be played with. The super articulated collector line is now the Black Series which replaces the Vintage line. Same price as before, $9.99

Galactic Heroes and its replacement, the more recent, Jedi Force are great pre-school age lines. Bought a few of the Jedi Force, myself. I think they are cute as heck. The new Saga Legends Kenner style line is intended for kids that are past the Jedi force age. I'll be the first to admit, the line isn't going to appeal to every one. But it's a very nice quality and well sculpted kid friendly priced line. Personally, $5.99 for one and $9.99 for two packs of Kenner style SW figures is pretty hard for me to pass up. I loves me some Kenner and I'm really looking forward to the classic trilogy figures planned for the line like the Han Solo and Chewbacca two pack.

I haven't collected much Star Wars in about a decade, but these molds would've made the Vintage line so much more appealing, IMO. Vintage style packaging with vintage style sculpting. I loved seeing the Vintage line in stores, then once I got past the carding and saw the figure I'd be...meh.

I do appreciate the 'kid friendly' thing Hasbro is going for here. But really, the only product that has me thinking 'buy' is the Angry Bird 12 pack.

I totally agree. Kenner style figures with retro card backs seems like such a perfect match. You never know, with the "vintage" line becoming the Black series maybe we will finally see it. I'd love retro SW figures on 12 back cards.

Great idea. Now THAT I would buy.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

If/when they get around to a Luke Skywalker Jedi Knight version of these new figures, I'll likely pounce on it.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

Like the price points but im only interested in original trilogy. Wish they had skipped the prequel figs altogether in the first few waves.

If they want to appeal to vintage fans, they need to look at what ReAction and Zica are doing.

Give me new characters in vintage style, and vintage articulation.

Give me a Revenge of the Sith Obi Wan made to look like he was made in 1978. Extending light saber and all. Give me a Jango Fett that looks like the Vintage Boba Fett. Give era removable helmet Vader done Vintage style.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

I'm really hoping Hasbro will show the Saga Legends OT figures at SDCC this week. I've read there's at least C3PO, R2D2, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Stormtrooper, Boba Fett, Bespin Luke and an Empire Vader planned so far.

Found the exclusive Rise of Darth Vader pack at Target tonight. $29.99 for four figures and an operating table. Movie Heroes Darth Vader with light up lightsaber, Vintage Collection ROTS Darth Sidious (does not include the force lightning accessory), Vintage Collection ROTS Shock Trooper (does not include long rifle) and the 2005 ROTS Chopper Droid (does not include original display stand). Odd choices of figures. One of the crispy Anakins, like the 2005 ROTS one that originally came with the included table, would have made more sense over the MH Vader and the Shock Trooper wasn't even in that scene. Still a good deal for the price if you don't already have the figures and don't mind a few missing accessories.
