Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse dolls at Target

The new line of dolls from the popular CGI animated Barbie Life in Dreamhouse webseries are out at Target. I found everyone but Ken. Best quality and best looking playline level dolls Mattel has done for Barbie in like forever. Finally something cool in the playline price point after years and years of cheap and bland looking pink mermaids and princesses. I'm super impressed how on model they are to the toon. Great paint detailing and facial expressions. Raquelle even has her trademark smirk.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

My wife and daughter watch these web toons. I'm sure she knows about this, but it's the first I'm hearing of it.

Nice to see them do something new for the play lines.

Be sure to pass along the info just in case. They caught me totally by surprise. I was not expecting to find them.

Got Ken today. Had to order him online. Don't think he or Nikki has hit retail stores yet. Ken is good quality like the rest but not as on model to the CGI toon as the others. Which is a shame because he is actually really cool in the show.

I went to get a couple for my daughters yesterday ay Target... trying to figure out why Barbie costs $5 more than her friends, when they come with the same amount of accessories.

Does Ken have the articulated knees?

Unless it's the talking version, Barbie should cost the same as the others. Must be a screw up at Target. The retail price is $16.99

I just checked Target.com and they list both Barbie and Ken for $19.99 and the rest of the dolls for $16.99. Maybe Ken and Barbie are in different assortments and Target decided to give them a different price point? The two Targets I went to had different dolls. One had only Midge, Teresa, Summer and Raquelle and the other had Barbie, talking Barbie and talking Raquelle. I ordered Barbie, Nikki and Ken online. I paid $24.99 for Ken from an amazon seller.

Anyone know if the web series or LitD dolls will continue in 2014? Just discovered the web series, reminds me very much of Toy Story 3 Ken & Barbie in characterization and mannerisms, actually quite cute and funny. Kinda odd Mattel didn't produce Ryan or the others last year.

Unfortunately, as far as I can tell, it looks like the on model Life in the Dreamhouse dolls are over. The characters are being brought into the lower cost main Barbie line.

Here's the new Ryan doll. Nothing like the cartoon and is just god awful looking.

                            Ken, Ugh. Just, yuck.

Raquelle. No toon smirk and too smiley. No personality.

I will not be getting these.
