    DC New 52 figs I don't hate!

I admit to being very critical about all of the new 52 stuff, and I am a purist when it comes to my superheroes. Don't mess with Superman and Shazam. Well, they did and it's apparent that change is likely permanent, so I might as well accept it. I was a bit outraged at the design of Shazam when it first hit, but a lot of it was taken out of conext, which DC is fully to blame. They misrepresented the concept and design. I actually like this now. Based on how much DC F'd up the DCU, this could have gone horribly. I like the designs of both Shazam and Black Adam. Plus these figures have some nice sculpts. I dunno about that hood, though. It better be a proto cause that sucker's HUGE. FOr whatever reason the Shazam figure is a SDCC exclusive but will be on Matty in August. I like these, and I doubt anyone else does.

I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she dumped me before we met.

Supposedly these go on sale on Matty's website on August 5. I haven't tried buying anything from these jokers since Green Arrow, so I don't know if it's more or less dificult to purchase from the webstore since. I have no problems with these designs since they are mostly mystical characters anyway with Greek and Roman god influences. It kinda fits. I haven't read any of the story yet, I'm waiting till it's collected.

IF I were a Bet'in Man ..., I'd say These will be pretty easy to get Scott.
But the Traffic for the Monster High Doll and He-man figures is gonna be Brutal.

My son's been playing Injustice: Gods Among Us, and some of those designs are pretty cool, and others are beyond hideous. I think DC is pretty much open to anything nowadays, changing the look of their characters whenever they deem it's needed for a refresh. It's quite a switch-up from the days when they rarely changed anything as far as the general public was concerned.

I don't hate the Shazam design. It could have been far worse. But yes, that figure's hood is HUGE. But it comes off, it seems.

Some of those Injustice designs are total badass. The Hal Jordan design is wicked cool. I also like the tweaks they did with Green Arrow. Just like online, some of the designs translate to figures and others really, really don't work at all.

The first thing I thought when I saw the new costume designs on the Avengers from the Marvel Now stuff ( Marvel's version of New 52 ) was that the costume changes were intended to immulate the movie versions of these characters. Like New 52 I find the Marvel Now stuff very unappealing. I am sure it is only a matter of time before it carries over into the toys.

Scott, I'm with Jason. I don't think you'll have a hard time getting them of Mattel's website.

As for the designs, all I can say is they could be worse. I Like Black Adam better than Marvel. As for the story, I think you'll be surprised when it's collected. I actually like it. It is a bit different, but there is a lot of heart there and I'm a sucker for Gary Frank's art.

Terrible costume designs, and the abandoning of the shared history for a temporary market boost that largely evaporated, alienating many long time fans.

                      Nope, not interested.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures
