    Marx Knights/Vikings reissues?

This might be a "classic toy" question as well, but has anyone collected the reissues of the 11" Marx Knights & Vikings?

How would you characterize them compared to the originals? Is the fabrication good?

I picked up Sir Stuart and Erik the Viking reissues a few years back, and I liked them quite a bit. Although I've heard some complaints here and there about the quality, I've seen no evidence myself they are any worse than the original Marx figures.

I don't know about the knights but I purchased the Johnny West and he had forearm cracks from the start(two different ones)and General Custer and had no problems with him.

How is the molding on the accessories? I understand they're done in different colors, but I was wondering about plastic quality/flashing.

The ones I have seem to be very good, maybe a little more rubbery , but no problems.

This is all very helpful, thank you .

I have not actually handled Marx figures--am I right in saying that the shoulders rotate only (i.e., no ball-type joint for increased posing)?

Definitely check them out. Maybe it's just a fondness carried over by childhood memories, but the Geronimo figure is one of my favorite action figures of all time. I have a complete one in the box and I'm possibly too proud about that fact.

I had the Black Knight as a kid.
I've always wanted to get that one again...

Even the vintage ones seem very affordable. I guess I'm just used to Mego prices lol.

I've only had a few Marx figures, and they always seem to fall apart. Is this common? I got Johnny West in a lot, and he was in pieces. My grandfather collected horses and he had Chief Cherokee and his horse in his collection. When my grandmother died, I was given these pieces. The Chief was in the box, but he was broken down in pieces at every joint. Do they just eventually fall apart?

If so, I hope the reissues ARE made a bit differently!
