    CTVT, definitely!

Although, I am going to wait and see how they stand up to the criticism here before I buy.

I DEFINITELY want a Riddler, in leotards and tailored suit; a Batgirl and Barbara Gordon; Dick Grayson; Bruce Wayne; Joker; all 3 Catwomen; Bookworm and maybe Louie the Lilac.

I've actually been thinking about this since the announcement and reading what everyone has posted. So many choices now as Paul mentioned. I think for me personally it will be the Figure Toys Inc 8" line for sure. I will probably get the Mattel Batman, Robin & Batmobile. The car just looked too cool not to. If they do a Batgirl and her Batcycle I'd get that as well.

I've seen some other 66 things coming like the Funko Bobbleheads and the Pop Vinyl figures. Stuff like that is 50/50, at least until I see it in person maybe. I won't have any trouble staying away from any Hot Toys stuff since I don't own any Hot Toys figures to begin with.

Figures/CTVT 8" has moved up to my most anticipated, but I'm still all in for Mattel 6". Hot Toys is too expensive and generally too big for my tastes. Also I can't wait to read DC's Batman '66 ongoing, and the new Batman: The Movie poster looks quite fetching! Maybe some Funko plush or tin totes if I saw some in person.

              Will I buy it?
              • YES - All of the Mattel 6 inch action figures and Batmobile.
              • YES - All of the Figures Toy Company 8 inch Batman 1966 figures.
              • YES - Some of the Figures Toy Company 8 inch Retro Batman. I'll buy repros of the ones that I don't have originals of, as well as the new, never released by Mego figures. For the vintage figures I already have, or can be had for a reasonable price, I'll pass.
              • YES - Rubies Costume Company’s Batman Costume. I just want to wear this around town like a dork. Not to conventions or anything, but like, grocery shopping and what not. When I was a kid, I would dress up as Batman almost every Halloween, and then would wear that costume to play in all the time until I wore it out. Now I can do that as an adult.
              • YES - DC Comics' Batman 1966 Comic Book. Not a big fan of most of the stuff they publish anymore, but these should be great.

              • MAYBE - Funko's Pop Vinyl Figures. If I decide to by some cutesy Batman 1966 toys, it will probably be these.
              • MAYBE - Figures Toy Company 12 inch figures. I'll have to see what they look like first, as well as have some money left.
              • MAYBE - Neca's 18 inch Adam West Batman. I want this, but I don't know if I'll have any money left.
              • MAYBE - Funko's Wacky Wobblers. I'm not really in to Bobbleheads, but I do have one Batman Bobblehead from Funko, and I really like it, so maybe I'll buy these. I'd probably have to see them in real life first.

              • NO - Hot Toys Batman and Batmobile. I'm sure these will be amazing, but I don't see myself being able to afford these and still buy all of the other toys I want.
              • NO - Mattel's Catwoman Barbie and Batman Ken. These look like fun, but I don't collect Barbie, and I don't think I'm going to start now.
              • NO - Mezco's Batman Mezits. I don't really like the looks of these that much. They made Batman frowning and Robin grimacing, which is not really in the spirit of '66.

Are there more Batman 1966 toys coming out besides these? That's all the ones I could think of off the top of my head.

I had thought for some time the only merchandise I would end up getting would be the Hot Toys figures. But with the early sculpt peeks, that has me reconsidering. The Mattel stuff is okay, but never struck me as the product I envisioned. And the novelty of just having '66 merchandise wasn't moving me there since I felt there would be lots to choose from. The next step will be to see the 12 inch samples (especially the unmasked version) and see how that is done. If they do a good enough job on the sculpt and pain apps, it could move me away from Hot Toys as well. Figures Inc has upped their game with this license, so my concerns on pricing and value are null and void here. This is a whole new ball game.

I guess Brian and Theressa need to start making Joker/Batman surfing pants to put over our doubles. Laser can start cranking out those surf boards. Chappie can start making the surf board decals. Anthony can start making the boxes. Lets start customizing people!

There's too much to pick from at this point. Feeling a bit swamped.
I wish Hot Toys had already something to show, then I could make up my mind.
I never considered the small scale ones, they're nice but it's 8" or more for me.

HT would be my first choice, but I think they'll charge too much for what is basically a guy in a leotard.
I would be able to afford Batman and maybe Robin, and that would be it.

I don't want to go for tons of 8" (there'll be no end to that) and at 24.99 plus international shipping and customs, these would cost me $40 a piece.
For now, I have my eye on 8" 1966 Batman and Conan and Co.

I'll wait until the product is out, and my friends here at the museum have given it a seal of approval.
It'll also mean that SMDM and Galactica will probably go off my list. Choices...choices....

I don't know about y'all but, I'm going to get ALL of them that I like only. like joker variations I really don't need. but, I'm also going to get ALL the re-issue megos as well. Here's my plan... I got a separate credit card to buy these on. then, I'm selling my everything in my collection I don't absolutely have to keep. then, I'm going to Sell my sperm and plasma and get a second job until they're all paid off and if that doesn't work. I'll sell the kids. ; )

As it stands for the next four to five months, these are my priorities:

                        1) BBP - SMDM, BSG
                        2) Round 2 - Captain Action Iron man and Wolverine costume sets
                        3) Figure Inc - Batman '66 figures. 8 and 12 inch likely. I don't think I can wait on these. So when they go to pre-order, I'll just have to bite the bullet and place my order. I think these are likely sell outs. And I don't see them doing repeat orders (favoring instead just to add additional characters or variants).
                        4) Hot Toys - Batman '66 License. That's a wait and see scenario. This will balance on how well the 12 inch figures from Figures Inc. look. If they can stand with my other Hot Toys Batman's, then I may pass. But if Hot Toys REALLY goes to town on the sculpt and accessories, I may have no choice but to get those as well.

All the other stuff out there will likely be off my list because I have the originals and can't justify the added expense to duplicate. If they're still around for the holidays, I'll throw them on my Christmas list.

I'll definitely be getting the Hot Toys Batmobile, Batman and Robin, and probably any other characters they do. I'll likely pass on Mattel's offerings, and I'll wait and see on the Figures Inc stuff.

Hoping to get some CTVT Batman 66 stuff but like Rik said, the shipping and custom charges would be expensive, will have to wait and see when they come out I guess.

I'm still mulling things over, but I think I'm going to be concentrating on the 8" Figures 66 line now. I'm not really interested in the straight repro Megos, until they get to Bruce and Dick, since those are the only ones I don't have. Not sure where I stand on the 12" figures, still thinking. I can't see them making 12" figures of characters like Shame and Mad Hatter, but maybe I'm wrong.

As for the Mattel line...I don't know. I have a lot of DCUC and DC Directs, so the scale does appeal to me, and the figures do look nice. With Mattel's track record of short-lived lines, and the amount of 66 product coming from other companies, I'm wondering if we'll get much beyond 3 waves out of this line. If that's the case, I may try to collect these as well. The idea of the in-scale Batmobile is really appealing.

Hot Toys...I'm just going to have to wait and see. Hot Toys tend to run two ways for me: "Too expensive. I'll pass" and "CAN'T RESIST!".

Man, am I glad I held out, and didn't get the 6" Mattel figures. The CTVT stuff looks SO much better. This I will pay for, even if it's a bit more, b/c they're Mego style. Of the 60s figures, I wanna get Batman, Robin, and the Fab 4. I'm still not sure about Joker, though, since I do have a Cesar Romero head (from a member here), that looks great...but maybe. I probably won't get any other villains, but I will get Batgirl if she comes out. I do want the World's Greatest Heroes Batman figures too, (Joker, Riddler and maybe Robin), so I can't go NUTS w/ the 60s Batman stuff.
