Batman 66: NOW what are you going to get?

The announcements from Figures Inc. has rocked my world like few other toy events. I'm totally flummoxed by the boatload of 66 Batman merch I thought we'd NEVER see.

So, with all the stuff coming out, and all of it being fairly pricey, what are you going to get? I think it's nigh-impossible to collect even all the figural stuff without going dead-broke.

The Mattel 6" stuff looks great, but then there's the Figures, Inc. stuff, that is Mego-esque and the first sculpts revealed look fantastic.

We've yet to see the Hot Toys, but we know they are coming.

    So what's a Bat-fan to do?

I was gonna get the Mattel figures but now I'm just gonna get Figures Toy 8 inch Mego style stuff. Hopefully they will make a Batmobile too. I wonder how out of scale the Mattel Batmobile would look?
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

CTVT's Batman 66 is an absolute must have, no question about it. The rest now I'll have to see, especially with shipping prices being as high as they are these days

I will be picking up the ctvt figures. No interest in the smaller scale, tho they are great looking.

No interest in smaller scale now that 8" cloth figures will be available. I will be buying as many of the CTVT figures as I can afford. Definitely Bats and Robin, Joker and Catwoman. Most likely the Riddler, too.

Going with FTC line for 8" all the way and a 12" Bats, Robin and Joker to go with my 1/6 scale '66 batmobile.
I cancelled my pre-order for the Mattel figures so that takes care of that.

Definitely going to get them boxed instead of keeping them carded.

I think Paul was right when he said there would be a ton of Batman '66 product hitting the street all at once. And he was concerned about the overkill factor. The Mego product has my attention, but the sculpts will have to be good and the price will have to be better. If they scalp like their doing on the superhero line, I'll wait them out and get the deals. I'm not going to make any knee jerk moves. I'm going to see how much of the product floods the stores and whether it sells. Your right Chris. It's all going to be pricey. Saturation and overpriced goods usually spills blood into the commercial waters for a few of these companies. I'll be the shark circling. If only a few companies were involved I would think differently and feel like my hand has to be forced. Not here. I think the luxury is with the consumer. By Sept and October there will be alot of good deals out there. Interesting how everyone was crazy about the Mattel line, now support is drying up for it with the Mego notice.

The Mattel stuff(though not doubles anymore), the cvtv 8 inch stuff (remego and 66), and the Neca quarter scale figure is a must for me.

I said earlier though, a playset/batmobile might have me flaking out on the Mattel stuff.

I already ordered the Batman Robin 2 pack from Mattel. But I think I will focus more on the Mego styled figures. It's what I've always dreamed about after all.

If the 66 sculpts from Figures Inc. are all as good as the two examples we've been shown, Mattel's stuff isn't even a temptation, other than possibly the vehicles.

The Hot Toys figures are another story, but they might be too pricey anyway.

I will buy the CTVT stuff- no doubt. I am also inclined to buy any scale B & R that would fit an accompanying Batmobile.

I was considering the Hot Toys stuff, but am going to be all over the CTVT Mego figures instead. Mattel's stuff just looks pathetic compared to the first two sculpts we've seen from CTVT. Can't wait to see the title characters.
