Toys That Time Forgot is a great store. I picked up my Captain Americar there. The owner is very friendly. I try to get there once a year.

How much is the Mattel Batmobile for these figures going to cost? I haven't seen a price listed anywhere.

^Based on the cost of the Wind Raider they made for MOTU, and factoring in the license fee, I'm guessing around $60-75.

The only one I've seen available to me to order on the Batmobile is the replica version, it's a die cast I think and MSRP on it is ~$200. Doesn't seem like that would be the right one, but it does look strikingly close to the one in the pictures.

It's the cost of the licensing fee.

Batman '66 dollars are split between WB and Fox on everything, and that's without taking West, Ward, Newmar and eventually Craig into account who have to be paid something for their likenesses. I don't know if Gorshin, Meredith, Kitt or Romero have estates, but if they do, they'll want in.

I think ABC/Disney may get a piece of the BR/streaming money, but not ancillaries like toys or shirts.

I've always felt WB never really wanted to push for Batman '66 because West can command pretty much what he wants and if they don't like it, his lawsuit would force a mass redesign, which would defeat the entire purpose of trying to cash in on the first place.

I have complete and unwavering faith in Mattel's ability to screw up any and all licenses!

I don't know how they handle smaller retailers with regards to action figures but I did have a chance to talk to the owner of a couple of Hobby Town USA stores regarding Hot Wheels- they let him know early on that they did not like small accounts and everything was their way or he could go F*** himself, that it would be in his own best interest NOT to send anything back to them- ever(or he would not get new product in the future)! That is, if they would take any returns-in most cases they wouldn't. He quit putting Hot Wheels in his stores after his account rep ordered 3 x the number of cases he wanted or needed- leaving him with multiple cases of the same cars that sat for months- even though he had not asked for double and triple cases of the same cars- he finally marked them half off just to get rid of them- and told Mattel where to go.

That's a bummer, the good thing is for the smaller guys you can still establish a relationship with some distributors and get reasonably priced product.

That being said- I have my pre-order in and am happy to offer the figures up here. Prices would be $50 for each set of 3 from the first wave, the 2 pack of batman and robin would be $30 each- both do not include shipping, it would be the actual shipping cost to you. I'll post in the other thread as well, but if you're interested in picking them up, please let me know.

Exactly. Mattycollector does just fine selling Ghostbusters and MOTU figures on their site only and nowhere else.
