Why don't they make action figure collector cases anymore?

Remember when most every action figure line had it's own collector's case to store your figures in?

I'd love to see them come back. I bet most of us end up buying plastic totes anyway...it would be nice to have official, nicely illustrated or molded character cases.

i assume these reasons among others:

-more diversity in size/shape of figure.
-more lines of figures -so no dominant line that would warrant such a device.

They still make action figure cases. Just not for the lines most adult collectors focus on. Skylanders is super popular with kids and there are loads of different collector cases for those figures.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I love Action figure/doll cases. I have quite a few. I'm not that wild over the ones CTVT have, 'cos they're too expensive, but the retro vibe is cool.

Not as nice as the ones I had as a child but they still do make cases for SW toys.

Lego has came out with some impressive cases for their figures. They have some that have action or city scene pictures inside of them and some of them even fold out into a story board setting.
