I had no idea Lego's were so crazy expensive!!!

I always see them at the thrift shops I go to, they sell them in baggies of like 2-3 LBS. for like $10 sometimes $15 depending on who's pricing them...so i grab 6 bags because I see star wars, LOTR and Potter's..That day it was buy 1 get 1 free..so i spend $30, put them on ebay and they go for $220++

then this Monday I go I find Harry Potters sets in baggies for $2 & $3 a set...each bag contains a set..I get all 9...some are complete some are missing just a few blocks which are easily replaced..I start to do a little research and each set goes for $40-$200++!! loose not even boxed..and some of the figures go for $15-$60!!

That's just insane to me..I had no idea they went for that kind of money...But I guess you learn something every day

save your kids legos!! once they turn like 5 years old they skyrocket

any lego collectors here? I'm thinking about collecting some figures

The first editions are mega $

Tons of money to be made in LEGO

They maintain value well, too. Easy to get back what you put in.

    Which ones you looking for?

Legos are solid for resale. 10 bucks a pound is CHEEP! Would love to have that store near me.

That company practically prints its own money. You've found a goldmine D. The thrifts around me have started putting them up on their own auction sites or just pricing them crazy. I know you watch shopgoodwill, take a peek at what they go for on there.

Just in case you haven't seen this, it's well worth it if you have any interest in Lego or Harry Potter or amazing artistry:

Welcome to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. This version of Hogwarts is made of about 400,000 bricks and took 12 months to build. It is designed to be architecturally accurate and completely playable. It breaks into sections that pack into 40 large flat boxes or shelves. See time lapse footage of setup at www.youtube.com/watch?v=ItFu-TtcFS0
