    Rubies Batman 66 costumes

Are friend Tomztoyz posted this pic over at his Bat-Blog. A little hard to see, but you get the drift.

Here at the BAT-BLOG we reported about the license for the Classic 1966 BATMAN TV Series finally being open again and we listed a few maj...

These look pretty damn good for mass-produced costumes. The Batgirl, Catwoman and Robin stand out to me in particular, but all look pretty nice. My one major gripe is Joker's suit was magenta, not purple on the TV series.

I could see my wife in either the Batgirl or Catwoman costume.

Maybe they were going for an Arkham City meets 66 vibe?

I think these look pretty slick for mass-market costumes.

Chris, you are right about the Joker's suit coloring, though, & it doesn't appear the trousers are striped, either.

Wondering if we'll see a Penguin...
WANTED: Dick Grayson SI trousers; gray AJ Mustang horse; vintage RC Batman (Bruce Wayne) head; minty Wolfman tights; mint Black Knight sword; minty Launcelot boots; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula & Mummy heads; Lion Rock Franky squared boots; Wayne Foundation blue furniture; Flash Gordon/Ming (10") unbroken holsters; CHiPs gloved arms; POTA T2 tan body; CTVT/vintage Friar Tuck robes, BBP TZ Burgess Meredith glasses.

That, or the "target market audience" vibe

And get a shave, Batman! I guess this answers the Batgirl question, she is part of the liscense.

^Batgirl's COSTUME is, but I wonder if Yvonne Craig's likeness is part of the deal. I'm guessing no, based on no Batgirl in any other 66 release thus far.

^^^ Its early on, looks like Mattel might go thru the show with a few waves and and may be hold back Babs for wave two or three.

I want to believe that but NECA didn't show any BG stuff either, you'd think somebody would launch with her somewhere.

^Yep, with all the licensors, I would have thought ONE company would have a Craig Batgirl in some form. This costume is the first hint of her existence. I'm thinking Craig didn't play ball or maybe they haven't approached here yet.

I hope I'm dead wrong, because I would love to own some Craig Batgirl merchandise.

If I may link to another message board, this is what someone got back from Yvonne after e-mailing her on the subject:

The short answer is no, that is completely false. I’m only too happy to
let them use my likeness (as I have for the Star Trek Marta character)
provided I am compensated for such (as I am and have been for some time
by Viacom with regards to the Marta character).
Glad you asked as this is how false rumors get started. Perhaps I should
put something up on my site as I am receiving questions regarding this
                              issue.
