Awesome! Were you lucky enough to get the Classic Trilogy Jedi sail barge R2 with drink tray or just the prequel lights and sound Naboo R2?

You know another thing that sucks about Darth Maul being in the new 6 inch Black Line? Hasbro already made one 13 years ago. Prequel figures in that scale didn't exactly sell all that well the first time.

A galaxy of information on Star Wars toys, action figures, statues, prop replicas, books, games, comics, miniatures, cards, and other collectibles. Rebelscum covers all the latest news from Hasbro, Hot Toys, JAKKS Pacific, Mattel, Sideshow Collectibles, Gentle Giant Ltd, EFX Collectibles, Kotobukiya, Topps, Marvel Comics, Thinkway Toys, LEGO and much more. Includes product reviews and descriptions, as well as detailed photo galleries of Star Wars related products from vintage to modern. The Rebelscum.com team works tirelessly to cover every aspect of Star Wars collecting in an effort to leave no fan behind.

Nah, I havent seen that r2d2 since a year ago at Toysrus. The darth vader has his hands out like hes doing the force.

I dont think another line in another scale is a good idea. I think its already been mentioned that without vehicles it just isnt starwars, and by just keeping the ones already made available they could keep the price points lower.

We need less expensive figures, not more expensive.

One of the Walmarts I check restocked. Four new pegs totally filled front to back with Phantom Menace 3D Ric Olie. I'm not kidding. I have not seen this many Ric Olies on the pegs since 1999 when PM came out the first time. So, I decided to check a Target. They had a Clone Wars, Phantom Menace and the new 12 inch Anakin and Clone Trooper figures. The pictures I've seen of them online do not do them justice. Even worse in person.

I actually managed to find a "lost Blu-Ray scene" Luke in Jedi robes last week for my son's Easter. But his Vintage Collection case was full of more Phantom Menace figures in VC packaging as posted above.

Congrats! Finding a classic Trilogy figure seems almost like a miracle these days.

Hasbro really needs to pull the PM figures from Walmart, Toys R Us, Target, etc. and ship them all off to liquidator stores like Big Lots. Either that or just bury them out in the desert with the ET Atari games. Because there's just no end to it.

I've never seen anything like it. They are really trying to push those figures on everybody. I would like to see a classic toyline given a chance like this in a re-release. They are always quick to liquidate anything eles except Star Wars figures. Thundercats sure wasnt given much of a chance.

They could at least make it possible to buy the ones we really want and we all know thats the original trilogy figures.

I forgot to mention, I went to TRU last week because they had SW figures on sale for $4.99. Of course they only had Clone Wars and Phantom Menace. I pretty much expected it. The real depressing thing was the SW section was totally shrunk down. For the longest time SW has had one side of an isle to itself. Pretty much since the mid 90s POTF2 days. Now it has one small spot mixed in with the Transformers and GI Joe. Even though, except for the very few classic trilogy exclusives like the Ewok Pack and Speeder Bike, its just been Clone Wars and Prequels the last several years, it was still sad to see.

I feel your pain. Star Wars is getting a little stale with my kids, which makes me sad. There are many cool figures that they missed over the past few years, but they have plenty of freaking Yoda and Anakins like are on the shelves now. Ebay and the occasional toy show are obvious sources, but it's just not the same as loading them in the car and going to TRU to grab a figure for a special treat. This is the first year in awhile that their Easter baskets didn't have a SW figure. The B&B-esque DC Target exclusives hit just in time, or it would have been Lego and Hot Wheels only.

Jakks Pacific just announced they will be releasing giant 31 inch Clone Troopers. Because, goodness knows, we sure could use more prequel toys on the shelves. They should look just dandy towering over their smaller counterparts already clogging the pegs.

May 2, 2013: With Star Wars Day right around the corner, JAKKS Pacific has officially announced the next two figures in their 31-inch Giant Figure line following the Darth Vader figure on display during Toy Fair. Click the thumbnail above for a closer look at the Revenge of the Sith 501st Legion Clone Trooper and Shock Trooper to its 31 Giant Figures and follow through for the full press release.

Nearly a year and a half later PM is still clogging the shelves and more is still shipping. There is no end to it. Kids don't want it, collectors don't want it, stores are drowning in it and yet PM is still being shoved down everyone's throat.

Jedi, Temple, Archives, Jedi Tempe Archives, Star Wars, Hasbro, LEGO, Visual Guides, Visual Guide, Revenge Of The Sith, A New Hope, Empire Strikes Back, Return Of The Jedi, The Phantom Menace, Attack Of The Clones, SAGA Visual Guide, Power Of The Force 2 Visual Guide, Power Of the Jedi Visual Guide, Vintage Visual Guide, Episode 1 Visual Guide, Gentle Giant Visual Guide, Clone Wars Visual Guide, Original Trilogy Visual Guide, Clone Wars Animated, 30th Anniversary Collection, The Saga Collection, Gentle Giant, Master Replicas, Unleashed, Star Wars News, Koto, Kotobukiya, Miniatures, Hallmark, Sideshow Collectibles, Titanium, Transformers, Galactic Heroes, Toy Fair, International Toy Fair, Star Wars Celebration, The Vintage Collection, Comic Con

Unless Disney does something drastic, like pulling all PM and prequel product from stores, I'm not sure if SW, at retail, can even be saved it this point.
