    4 Horseman Power Lords

    Crazy.

A few years ago, I was talking to an established movie producer about properties that could be adapted. We batted Zoids back and forth as a great blend of Transformers and Jurassic Park. I then told him about Power Lords, and he thought it sounded nuts. I told him if he got the right character updates, it could be huge because it's so different than the standard Star Wars ripoffs. My gut says we'll now be hearing about a movie adaptation within the next three months.

    Hmmmm....

It's an interesting idea. With modern effects you could do a lot of the weirder characters, which would have been difficult pre-CGI. The estblished story is pretty threadbare too; so there's lots of room to work with.
Zoids is another good one, but the line has been licensed in Japan for a while, including tv shows and the like; so getting the rights would be tough.

You're right about 'Zoids. The property ownership is a jumble. IIRC, Marvel actually has some controlling interest.

I found a site that has pictures of some of the new figures.

A blog about art toys, urban vinyl, designer resins & collecting toys. Also features superhero movies, anime, pop culture, & Street art.

Looks to be a couple new characters that wasn't included in the original line. I also noticed that these figures are bigger than the proposed 3.75" figures.

I am more than machine. More than man. More than a fusion of the two.

It will be interesting to see how this line does, because I never remembered any of my friends ever even talking about this line, and we were the prime target age at the time. It was on the back cover of DC Comics for like two years it seemed, but that's about all I remember of it. The nostalgia factor of MOTU or even Thundercats is definitely lower with this series.
