Finally got around to reviewing the King. I picked this guy up over a month ago, but just got busy and forgot to finish up the review. That's not a slight on the figure itself, although it's far from perfect. Check it out!

I am not a huge fan of this figure as I would have like them to have a younger sculpt, but it isn't bad. My only complaint, which you touched on, is that I can't find him in retail. I have seen all the other figures in this wave but no Lawler. I just don't see him being worth the online prices right now. Even the $19.99 is steep but I would pay that if I saw him.

Unfortunately, Mattel shortpacks their Flashback figures. Even though those tend to be the best and most popular figures in the waves.

Well he didn't always have the goatee, but this isn't supposed to reflect that era anyway. It's Lawler from his WM match a couple years ago. Which is why I was saying it's not much of a "flashback" in that sense. Another bizarre Mattel choice. This Lawler should have just been in the regular Elite releases.

One of my biggest complaints about the Mattel figures are the head scans. Some are pretty good, but most flat out suck. The old jakks figures couldn't get the scale right, but had some amazing head scans. Mattel seems to do pretty well with scale, but blows on the head scans.
