Sideshow's Joker is their first DC comics accurate figure

    http://www.sideshowtoy.com/?page_id=...home_upcoming1

Facebook add says it will be $189.95. Comes with two heads. One looks like brian Bolland artwork, the other more like Marshall Rogers.

Kind of odd to open with a villain, but Joker is more popular than many heroes.

I really like the DCD 13" Joker, but you the Bolland head is stunning. And Marshall Rogers...? If they get that right, I'm going to have to fold on this one. Love me some Rogers Gothammites.

The smaller photo in the ad with the fedora is the one I thought looked like Rogers, but on second look it's Bolland but likely inspired by Rogers' work on Detective comics. This just looks great to me.

Not a Bad Price ..., But seems Expensive for a Sideshow Figure ....

They've hopped on that hot toy gravy train. It's why I sold my Star War figures and others. Didn't want to be tempted to drop $175 plus every two months for the latest character. Rather buy customs.

Cool figure, but I think the price is steep. That was standard Hot Toys price 18 months ago.

Yeah, I said early on that if these were in the $125-150 range, I'd probably bite. But I'm not interested at $190, at least not for this Joker. Now, if this were a classic Bronze Age Neal Adams Joker, I'd be mightily tempted, but the Bolland look does nothing for me.
If the Superman and Batman turn out awesome, I may consider them, but definitely not Catwoman or Harley.

Yeah, the price tag may hurt these...I wonder if sixth scale Marvel comic based figures will be far behind?

Or if it was the Jim Aparo version,I might buy that one.

Ah, well, Bolland did draw Joker with the hat on occasion in The Killing Joke and other places, so I'm sure they referenced that look.

Yeah, I'd pay that for a Hot Toys figure of a character I really loved, but can't think of anything that could get me to pay that much for a Sideshow figure. These should be about half the price they're asking.

Well , Adams is pretty close to Aparo lol ....
I think the prices of Sideshow and HotToys have reay gone up in the last yr because of the Popularity..., and The Extreme Popularity of What some of the High End 1/6 scale customizers Get for thier Figures.
